- The plaintiff met the defendant four years ago. Although they had sex a few times, he insists they were never in a committed relationship. Over time, the defendant became clingy and obsessive. He’s suing the defendant for vandalizing his car. The defendant says the plaintiff was always putting her down and claims the night of the vandalism, she was extremely intoxicated and doesn’t remember anything.

I didn't know that any damaged to a vehicle due to vandalism, the owner can double claim. I mean if the owner already claim from the insurance, the owner suppose to can only sue for the insurance deductible. But if the owner wanted to claim without going through insurance, then it makes sense that the person vandalised his car paid for the whole cost. And I agreed that there must be at least 2 estimates. I'm sure if the plaintiff claim at people's court, the judge won't allow double claim.
