Oh, I see what y'all are doing, or rather your points of view. It's a "black woman" being ab used as opposed to "a woman" being ab used! 💕💚💕

Thank you, Sis, for checking some Mel- O-meters. I have been feeling the same way you are right. Some take it too far, complicating things and sometimes doing too much. I love y'all, but sometimes some go too hard.

Hi Queen, one thing that I didn't hear in the chat was men-boys that were SA as little boys by females baby sitters. That was the case for my son and I only found out when he was in therapy at the age of 30. He has so much anger in him, and it came out in the form of beating on women. I was a single mom finishing my education . Now I feel guilty. It's really scary to see him in action. Thank God for prayer and therapy.

Sis, I'm so sorry your family went through such a horrible experience. Too often boys aren't thought of in these types of situations. People, including family, often think I keep my son too close. I do so for this same reason. As single parents we do our best to care for our children. Unfortunately, people prey on the vulnerable. Prayers for you both. ❤❤

What's more appalling I believe in my heart that his mama knows all about it and protects him. Money is the root of all evil.

People saying why didn’t Cassie leave, wasn’t she actually leaving when he attacked her. The black woman is the most disrespectful person in the world, they don’t believe us. Also I blame his mother for his behavior, as a mother if I continuously heard about bad behavior about my son, amma gather him all the way together.
My question to my son would be what if it’s your mother, grandmother or sister being abused. His mother should be ashamed.
As for my daughter I thought her that it’s imperative to not only respect herself but allow others to respect her as well.

I don't think Stephen A meant the comment the way that it is being taken on this panel. The Rice incidence was not being touted as less offensive on a scale of offenses, but that in the Combs case, he stomped that girl as though she was a dog, trash, or less than human which, in my opinion, IS way worse! 💕💚💕

Unpopular opinion but if this were a dark skinned blck woman this wouldn’t be getting the traction it is getting. There are so many layers to this conversation because there always seems to be alot of advice for what women should do but not men. The responsibility always lies with the man to maintain restraint because of physical strength. Physical AB should not be introduced into a situation by either party but real men should just not hit a woman it needs to be a blatant no go for walk cool off leave the situation. That should never be an option. At the end of the day we can give women all the advice in the world when they walk outside if the men aren’t being taught how to behave also then non of that matters. And the other issue is that boys need to be taught not to enable these situations by staying silent. Cause there were alot of witnesses to this behaviour who for whatever reason remained silent. And silence only ever helps the AB- user or oppressor never the AB- used or oppressed. They might not be the ones doing the act but they need to be taught not to sit back and watch it happen to any woman. You watch the cast on LAMH enabling Martell making excuses for his behaviour because of their lack of personal integrity. Because even if they don’t like Mel their own moral conviction of right and wrong should be stronger than their dislike for a specific individual and that’s a lesson about how we got here.
