- "Tactical" back packs have their place, but for the average citizen a small, normal looking pack can still carry quite the loadout. In this video, Josh goes over gear organization and small pack considerations for three different loadouts - some realistic, some not.

Man that bullet sponge guy at the beginning was TOO accurate haha 😂
All ubisoft games have that problem, even the extremely overrated Far Cry 3.
Till use 50 BMG anti-material rifle or 40mm M32 grenade launcher. 😂
@@BlueFusion2910 For the most part you're right, but Wildlands/Breakpoint were fine.
Haha yep! It always feels like you’re shooting the bad buys with airsoft guns… just like this. 😀
@@pyeitme508 bruh even the M32 felt like you were firing rubber rounds at times
Me who has $10 expendable income a month: “hmm yes, very good…”
If you've got $10 a month and can dabble in prep this year, you can get each of these items by EOY:
1. get a first aid kit (control bleeding, prevent infection)
2. any kind of rain protection. the longer the better, climate permitting, so it can also trap heat when it's windy/chilly or even be used as a canopy, rain collector, or tarp (so you can sleep on the ground without getting damp)
3. a hat to trap head heat and resist the elements. in warmer months, you can soak it in water to resist heat exhaustion
4. sunscreen, highest spf you can get for $10
5. pocket knife/hammer some kind of tool that can serve multiple purposes (this last one is tricky on $10 but hopefully you won't need it often)
6. something that can store water, preferably a steel, even insualted/double walled, bottle. BPA free is nice but microplastics are among the least of our concerns in a SHTF sitch
At $10 a month, you won't look tacticool, but you may look alive, and that's very cool. Stay safe out there and be excellent to each other.
I'm in this comment and I don't like it
The Divison has one the best vibes. Best story and coolest environment. The Division 2 is still active and regularly updated. I prefer pc but its on console.
it's also on PC tho
Division 1 was awesome. 2 was trash
Division 2 is on PC lol
@@stevegraves7040 Not exactly trash, but their upgrade system is just abhorrent.
I’ve been back into playing it. It’s been awesome.
it's the eye roll in the beginning for me 🤣🤣🤣
Haha, yeah. That captured how we all feel when having to dump into bullet sponges.
Tactical vs Practical.
Thank you for bringing this up.
This video is one example of why Dirty Civilian is in my top 5 CZcams channels.
Enjoyable content that is relevant to a normal person. You guy's show that you can build a skill set and the gear to support it in a real application, while also not putting arbitrary rules that would limit creativity.
I liked your point I don't need a rifle with me everywhere but I still can be ready and equipped for both normal and extra normal events, then if need be adjust the setup to fit current events.
On top of all that you guys make funny skits you have a high production value and you all try different Ideas like using video games to practice working together. Great stuff guys really glad I found y'all.
Normal Person. who the hell needs a rigs like this in every day life?
Don't get me wrong its enjoyable, it 100% is creative as you say. I love it as I'm a nerd and into end world scenarios, but why on earth would the average normal person need to be thinking about this stuff haha! we're a minority that feels larger then we are due to youtube.
@gazathegreat1 Remind me later and I'll tell you about a guy named Murphy!!
@@gazathegreat1 History is a good teacher, empires die , riots happen, War breaks out. We are spoiled in the US, it does not happen here yet!
I agree with you I don't need any of this stuff day to day.
All that being said. It's fun and cool. We can have it so why not.
For anyone wondering that slick plate carrier looks to be the UARM WPC
Dude I’ve been looking for a video like this for so long!! I still love ‘The Division’ despite the bullet sponging😂😂😂
Yep, I absolutely love that you added the in-game sounds and soundtrack for the intro.
Thanks! Took some time to pull it all together, but the details matter.
That bullet sponge in the intro was 200% accurate, in the game you are basically playing with paintballs it would seem.
The Division 2 is still an all-time favorite! I started year 5, season 3, today.
Nice work! Glad you guys responded to our requests from the short!
For the MCX I have had that concept in my head for years, X300, MCX, T1 etc. Glad to see that its actually effective and usable.
I've been hiking a HPG chest pack attached to my surplus assault pack for years. Glad to see some folks catching up.
I have a flat pack that clips in perfectly with my micro rig. It is yes a bit more tactical but I have been doing it for quite a while and it's a great outdoorsy setup!
Do you like the flatpack? I had both sizes and sold them. I just really hated it. Curious how it's working for you?
The division is genuinely one of my favorite things and I had to watch this! I love it!!
That 4th gen in the opening clip!! I knew I loved this channel for a reason lol
My jaw hit the floor when I saw that short! Great idea!!
The Division and The Division 2 are two of my favorite games. Good work on the vid!
i always love seeing stuff inspired by the division
I have a Virtus in .300 Blk with a X300u at the 12 and I love it. There is some significant shadow from the suppressor but 10 feet you can see the knees of a man sized target, so it’s still extremely functional. Also, I’m an active duty SERE Specialist with 2 years at the JPRA Urban program and this is a solid video. Maybe add a poncho fleece. If you contract a GSW, a little extra thermal protection can make a big difference. But there is always a “If I could add one more thing…” thing.
What is a GSW?
Gun Shot Wound
This is a great mix of a variety of different kinds of loadouts in one video. This is very well thought out and thank you.
I ran the X300 on my shorty swat rifle for patrol over a year and loved it. Worked very well at night.
I clicked on this, thinking it wasn’t gonna be that great and wonderful. But it absolutely was! Thank you for the time and effort you put into this video.
I liked both the fun and practical aspects.
I carry a backpack to work, you just gave me more ideas for upgrading/updating my "edc".
One the most helpful videos I've seen in a long time. Well done. I'm also a division player. The beginning was perfect 😂😂😂
I really appreciate you stressing that these are just ideas, and that - like anything - you need to test them yourself to see if they're effective. Hope it stops people from jumping to conclusions (it won't lol but I hope it at least helps).
It's cliche and it takes away from the video

Rollout!
The rogue music❤ im saving this to a playlist thank you!
As a dad, no matter what you do, the kid(s) need to know you do it out of love. Not out of anger, disappointment, frustration, last resort, etc. But out of love for them and their well being.
Very good points about having a flexible and low profile kit for navigating areas of civil unrest. No reason to draw attention to yourself when you could be outnumbered by nefarious-minded individuals!
Quick note about your Kenosha comment though; I have spoken with several people who were boots-on-the-ground with the Sheriff’s Department during the riots and still work there. They are all pretty confident that the new Sheriff wouldn’t sit by and let the city burn like his predecessor did.
Kenosha has really gone downhill over the last 20 years!!
The eye roll about the Time To Kill is so accurate 😂
Great vid. Always tons of useful info and good thought topics in your videos. Thank you for the content!
This is the video I’ve been waiting for!!!!
Very thought provoking setup. I dig the clip on chest rig idea and thought process on the rest of the contents.
Everyone talks about a get home bag and with it they have all of this tactical gear. I really like this set up because I definitely would want to take a grey man approach if I had to use this bag but I like the ability to add the chest rig to the pack. I will definitely be getting the chest rig. I really appreciate the content you guys put out it is very relatable
Agree 100%. The chest pack should probably stay with you at any time and if you are able to put on your backpack or take it off whenever you like that’s much better than to have something combined. Maybe cool for hiking though.
I always liked the concept of The Division. The games needed a lot of help, but that aside, the SEE (Simplistic Elegant Effective) principle was what I tried to model my equipment off of.
And combat aside, camping, working, going out on the town, or going through that sketchy part of town, you should have something that supports what you’re doing there.
👍👍 is what this video deserves!
All that watch needs is an orange isac ring, like mine has. 😎
Speaking as a combat veteran, who is an avid Tom Clancy fan, and Division player, this video is outstanding!
Just as informative as it is entertaining. Thank you.
The low profile greyman who's capable of being a force multiplier, is precisely how preppers, minuteman, and concerned local citizens, should all be carrying themselves as well as edc gear.
Get home or bugout, you are your own logistics, acquisition on site will be essential. Every load out, for specific intent, will be different.
There is no one way, to rule them all.
Adapt, improvise and overcome, evolving with the situation will be key, as is teamwork. Pay attention to detail.
United We Stand, The Rest Is, Not An Option! 🇺🇲
On my HD Rig I'm running X300T-B on top 1913 rail . LAV taught me that 10+ years ago to have light setup in a way wherever your muzzle is pointing the light is pointing . X300T-B IMO works perfectly for 100Y and shooting at night on Carbine . Obviously I agree 1000% on the SF X300T-B OR X300U ran at 12 oclock position..
Nice video bro
This goes so hard. I love it. ISAC voice over and all.
We knew true fans would appreciate the details. ;)
Excellent production value and nice approach; people often use organizer pouches in a larger bag, but rarely do they think to use a waist pack in the same way, and it's a very flexible approach since it can both function as a sub-load organizer in a larger pack or stand alone too. While the lucas look is in, consider cargo pants for EDC; while it's on the other end of the form/function spectrum, some look very professional (Tru Spec 24/7 for instance) and suitable for daily wear. Would recommend shifting away from baofeng and towards stand-alone meshtastic messengers for team communication. It's secure (legally), works with atak/itak and contents cannot be monitored by device creators (google, apple or 3rd party stingray / cell approach), is inexpensive to get into and no legal hurdles like licensing required. While they can be direction found like anything else emitting this can be mitigated as always through best practices.
Did this about 6 months ago. It’s funny because I immediately thought if the division as well. It’s cool, works well and makes me feel operator AF
Another STELLAR video guys! Love the content and keep up the great work!
Love this! Love The Division!
I did the same with my MR 3 day pack and added male/female to the bottom so I could attach to my plate carrier (added females to the front). Makes it nice because I can unbuckle the waist strap and flip the backpack over my head for easy access.
For years I had a TLR mounted on top rail, Had a packup behind it flipped down. Worked great with a red dot.
Same here, bag gun is a folding 11.5 with an upside down TLR1. The switches are basically perfect for rifle use in my opinion.
I bought a Mystery Ranch fanny pack that I had converted into a chest rig using the harness from a cheapie tactical chest rig from Amazon, I wanted something that could hold a lot of items (including a firearm) but that I could still keep relatively innocuous looking for weekend hikes, I'm also able to integrate it with my 2 Mystery Ranch backpacks really well, including my large loadout bag. Great video!
Been waiting weeks for this
Duuude I love The Division! This video is lit!! 🔥🔥
This was a really good video. I appreciate the information trying to get my own stuff together and setup
I do something similar with my AMAPIII and the placard that agilite produces. I use it as a minimalist setup for carrying a "field" load if I'm just going to the motorpool for the day.
I keep seeing stuff like this and everyone brings extra socks, but they are ALWAYS just floating around in the bag. If your socks are not in a dry bag your doing it wrong. Put your socks in a dry bag or something that's going to keep them dry. Love the content I look forward to more awesome stuff from you guys.
This was a very interesting conceptual video. Curious as to what "carrier" you're using for that West Coast IIIA plate. Stay safe out there
Interested as well.
Also interested!
Looks like a UARM WPC 9:13
Great video guys!
Glad the division is getting love lately
Very informative and well made video covering lots of topics efficiently. Keep up the good work.
A recommendation for a low-pro gray man type chest rig that’s less tactical but still works okay if you train with it is the Viktos Low key chest rig. Wife got me one and it’s a perfect little bag that looks like a binocular harness but in times of need has room/ability for a concealed pistol and 3 AR mags.
Thanks man. I've been looking for something like this and it seems to check all the boxes for me.
My favorite games to bad I was never good enough to hang in the dark zone .great video guys .
Bullet sponge was spot on 😂
I like the “doom and gloom” content. I learn a lot from it and its why I found the page in the first place.
Thanks for showing us your $15000 urban EDC lol
😂
15k loot drop
I like how you ditched your rifle for the enemy rifle. In the division you practically have to unload all your ammo to down someone, so you have to steal theirs. Accurate. 😂
Fantastic video gents. You guys are putting out fantastic content, good concepts, and thought provoking scenarios. Keep that up. What is that low profile plate carrier Josh pulled out during the actual EDC portion? It looks awesome.
Now time to do a fanny pack break down!
This is fun to some of us. 😂Just found you guys and loving the load out info so far. Keep it up
Thank God someone finally did it.
More videos like this!!! Awesome video guys
Lol a Tom Clancy's Division game reference such as annoying bullet sponge 🧽 enemies 😂, though I prefer loadouts from Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon or Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.🤣
If possible maybe videos about Grey Zone Warfare loadout or Toyota pickup truck modified into technical loadout?🤔
When we get access to Grey Zone, we'll definitely be doing some content with it in mind.
@@dirty-civilian sure thing bro 😎
Excellent video 📹!!! Keep up the good work 👏!!!
9:08 What is that you’re using to hold the West Coast Armor plates you have?
You could attach the bottom clips of the chest rig to the pack, meaning you can just undo one side to Don and doff the whole assembly.
That wrap up with the "actual EDC" was a nice endcap. Would've liked to see what was in the pouch velcroed to the laptop, though... never seen that doen before and it's a cool add-on; I'm guessing wireless mouse, charging cable, and cable lock (maybe).
I personally use Velcro to attach hard drives and USB-C dongle‘s to my laptop so they don’t fly around
Favorite franchise ever!
Been waiting on this vid
Loved this video because of the realistic considerations. I’ll be rocking my SHD Agent loadout at Kalash Bash this year. Ready for extraction. 🎇🔫☣️🎒🚁
Well the whole concept of a quick and compact rig that you can add to your backpack harness, works if you have to hide between civilians or something like that. In need you can theoretically put everything together in few seconds and be ready to get into fire fight, until you have enough time to wear the whole chest rig as intended and keep on with the fight.
Nice video. Love the info and load outs. Subbed
I have the Helikon-Tex Ranger green version of that Micro chest rig and love it.
I JUST REDOWNLOADED AND STARTED REPLAYING THE DIVISION THE ORHER DAY‼️‼️
Get some!!!!
make a video series for this! this is beautiful
Great video. While I appreciate your admission of the rig/back pack clips has drawbacks, it's genius, and something I've been wondering about for a long time.
I've been toying around with this concept for a little bit, and watching other people's 'get home' bags has been helpful in planing out builds like this. Mystery Ranch, Vertx, 511s, and even some more standard civilian bags like ospreys or whatever really work in this regard. One thing another youtuber (Icr who atm) pointed out was remember, go lighter, because you might be walking for a while. (I'll look it up and post it as a reply because there's some good points to consider)
Once again, great video, also love the Division.
Yup, it was a grunt proof video. To sum up, basically, he advocates for just sustainment, speed, bartering, and planning alternate routes home ahead of time if you have to ditch your vehicle. Just look up the channel with get home bag and you're good.
I still am enjoying watching Dirty Civ. Watched the mission statement video for your two and respect the message and goal you guys have immensely.
Thank you for reminding us that we need to verify our systems work before trusting them. Glocks don't seem to suppress well out of the box and the same seems true for many other handguns that aren't suppressor-ready. Like any gun, the sum of parts aka "the recipe" are what determines the entire SYSTEM runs correctly. The spring rate of both the recoil spring and the booster spring in the suppressor as well as the weight of the suppressor itself effects how the weapon functions. The weight of a silencer added to a barrel would normally prevent a browning tilting action pistol from being able to tilt, which is why we have the neilson device (booster). It makes the suppressor suspend in mid-air for a brief moment while the barrel performs its tilting action. The rate of that spring inside the booster assembly is one of the parts to this recipe, but sadly many manufacturers don't offer different spring rates for their boosters; (although i believe DA did provide them with the odessa) so we often have to change the recoil spring rate in the gun itself to help remedy the problem. Its been said that if you can get a can light enough, it doesn't even need the booster, never tested this myself though. The only guns I have that run can's are both suppressor ready from the factory and they both run very well. The can's i put on them are also very light though.
I would say this has been a steller video.
But really, Josh. You guys are doing awesome work, word ticks and all
That powerbank kit looks pretty cool. Would like to see a link for that.
You should look at the Silencerco Hybrid 46. That would work for both your pistol and rifle. Putting a can on the rifle will be a lot more useful than the pistol until your holster is supressor ready or you'll have to take the can off every time you holster your pistol.
“There is a lot of good suppressor pistols out there” 😂
I can tell you actually use critical thinking and have a process for your content. The videos always come across as well thought out rather than forced just to put something out for clicks/views. I appreciate the time and effort you put into what you do.
Thank you, we appreciate it!
That is actually awesome though. Always looking for better ideas to go about doing things. I just like how unique that is to put that right on the pack. As you say though, it's not necessarily practical. I can however see it being used in a "Division" loadout.
I've never clicked on a video so fast. I freaking love the division
we need a load out list. Always, for every loadout
My urban loadout is very similar, except I carry I P320 and a Flux Raider. I don't anticipate being in a situation where I have to shoot past 150 meters, so the Flux gives me plenty range along with the added benefit of fitting in a bag while suppressed and allowing me to only carry one caliber and magazine type.
That's a great tape trick!
Any prepper guy who can use the subjunctive mood in speaking (If I were to use...) is definitely smart and worth a listen.
Really like your content and quality. And that you are in my home state.
Thank you! We appreciate it.
Excellent content
I have two AR's for two different situations.
I've got my PWS Mk116 Mod 2 with an LPVO 1-6x and an canted RMS for long short to longer range environments.
In an urban environment, I have a Daniel Defense Mk18 with an Eotech EXPS2.
However, with my luck, I'll twist my ankle and bash my head on a rock within the first 5 minutes during an end of the world scenario, and I'll be someone's amazing loot piñata.
That sapi plate when hit by a round is gonna burn HOT. Shouldn't leave it exposed like that as a rig. Probably need a spacer to compensate.
I'm not gonna lie, if yall havent seen the short film they did for The Division? It goes unnecessarily hard as fuck. It's like 30 minutes long and somehow has better story telling than the entirety of the game.....
Great video!
Informative video. New subscriber💯💪🏾
Awesome video. Been watching lot of your videos lately. I was curious what battery storage you’re using? Looks double sided for cr123 and 18650. I’ve got some cheapo plastic ones but looking to get more durable option. Thanks dude
