    Good One! But you need to talk about 13% HST also. In addition to the Income-tax, we end up paying 13% for almost every goods and services which will fetch to approx 50% (depending on tax slabs) of overall tax liability. Even for a used car, there is 13% HST.

      GST/HST is there in India too... Unlike in India, In Canada atleast the basics are considered as 0%

    Every one talks about the tax brackets as they are easily available to find on internet, what I want you to do is a video to say how do you save your tax...like in india we have 80C, D,DDB ect... This will help your channel stay unique and drive more traffic to Chanel..

    Hello Humpty Dumpty,
    You people are super cool in explaining things. I have a question here. If my spouse is not working and have no income, is there any tax credit that I can claim?

    Very useful video! But, Is there a calculation error? in the 120000 example, in the second slab of federal tax the slab amount should be $100392-$50198, which is $50194. 20.5% of that is only $10289.77, where as you are taking a value of 69803, which is including the residual $19803 as well. Same for provincial tax as well. Does this mean we pay 20.5% + 26% on $19803 for federal tax and similarly 20.31% (sum of two slabs) for provincial tax?

    Suppose I earn 90 K per year If I start getting salary from June .. will they deduct accordingly or as if I am staying for whole year and later I will receive a tax refund

      @HemiJB91 Před rokem

      If you get a salary, they will deduct what you ask for on your T1 tax sheets. Logicaly they should deduct accordingly but best to alway let them know to take as much to avoid paying taxes

    120k income with 40k income.taxes. what a fucking joke. I'd go right down to the states. The problem with this country is way to much social services and working hard mean paying more to government.

      You get free health care. That's nearly 20k for a family in US.
      Also credits for children in both countries. In US it used to be 1200 per child per year. It might be similar in Canada.
      Plus pregnancy leave is 1 year in Canalda in US it's zero but good companies give 70% pay for couple of months and another one or two months 60% pay. .
