I really like this format! I like hearing other peoples questions and it's easier to watch and/or listen to a video than read through all the comments most of the time. Thank you for sharing!

Hello, I know this video is old, but I am hoping that I can still get an answer to my question. I have a lithops and right now it started to split or change leaves, can I re-pot it while it's splitting?

I like this format because you can answer many questions and give references as well. I know that it is difficult to answer every because most growers normally do not have ideal conditions for succulents. I grow everything outside in containers or in the ground and have found that most plants need very little care. I believe that many plant owners over water and over fertilize their succulents and wonder why they lose so many plants each year.

Sound was good. Thanks for the video. One thing that I think might be good to address, although you may want to leave it alone to not offend some, is the overuse of water therapy, root pruning, and pulling plants out to check roots. You've mentioned how valuable these can be in certain more extreme situations, but it looks like a lot of people are doing these things whenever they see their Lithops a little bit wrinkled. These Q&As are great.

Regarding semps, sedums, etc. in pots: I grow almost all my semps and some sedums outdoors in terra cotta pots in Zone 4, most in somewhat small pots (4-8 inch.) I do it, knowing some will do great, some will struggle, some will die over our variable winters. It seems a major problem is getting too wet from freeze-thaw cycles. I now keep them under my patio roof area and give them a little water every few weeks. All but one weird kind of Lewisia hate being in containers, rot out no matter what I try. Have about 10 Lewisia to experiment with this year. Am going to use almost all pumice this time. Anyone have other suggestions?

Critter Girl Just wondering if anything has worked for you? I just started this year. I have brought in my semps as it has been extremely wet. They are looking much better now but I have yet to water them. I’ve been thinking of putting some in my unheated porch. I also in zone 4.

I like the format but it is hard to follow i do not know the name of the plants well enough. May I recommend that you select the questions and bring a species of the plants close to you so we can relate better. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge regarding Succulents.
