- Saidpur just outside of Islamabad, Pakistan is a beautiful village with a lot of history. It is home to Sikh Gurdwara and a colourfully decorated Hindu Temple.
It's a lovely place to explore with the narrow streets and goats wandering around. Saidpur is popular with foreigners in Pakistan as well as domestic tourists and has some excellent restaurants.

Last time I was there non-Sikhs were not allowed to go in. The stairs had some Sikh inscriptions on it so people were not allowed to step on them either. It's a very small temple and completely empty. Opposite to it is a Hindu temple. I guess as a foreign tourist the guards and management let her in, or maybe now they allow tourists into the temple.
Sikhs fought so long against islamic invaders. Sikhs are one of the important reason for diversity of India. If Sikhs were not there India would have been Islamised

Hi, lovely village and atmosphere is amazing, Islamabad truly is a beautiful city mostly ignored by tourists. Little correction Sikhism was started around 1500 AD so its Gurwara could not hav been created in 2nd century...the village maybe from 2nd century and that building may also be (if so) but may not have been designed for Sikh Gurdwara at first.
But sad u people oppress minorities in Pakistan...
