No, the problem wasn't the car. The car isn't even relatively the problem. The gearing in the transmission, and rear end was the problem. I guarantee you that if it had a 4.56 rear end gear or something lower like a 4.88 it would have ran much faster just by itself.
I thought the same thing within the 1st 2 minutes. He changed all this other stuff, he should've just left type tuning and shortened the rear end gears. It that didn't work he should've put some smaller tires, because it was obvious those tires we're holding him back at the line.
I wish I had the knowledge you have with gearing and the numbers and what not haha
+Smasher Shrek Trial and error is the way to learn if you're not exposed to it IRL. Im lucky and happen to be exposed to it in my every-week life. If you go to gearing under the tuning menu, and play with the final drive it will drastically effect performance. For example, putting a 4.88 final drive will have a slower top speed, but will get there much quicker. Having a 3.23 final drive, will have a higher top end, but will get there slower. The final drive in Forza, refers to the gear ratio in the rear end, though for a stupid reason they say final drive.
That would have no hear you would sound like An evo, throw a 4:10

+Gingium Well, to be fair you can get much wider tyres irl than in game and you can't get a wheelie bar in the game. Also, you don't have a warm-up period in Forza.
But in Forza 6, AWD is generally better 1/4, RWD better full mile.

Yeah, they're RWD, but are the drag cars in Forza anywhere near as good as the 'top tier drag cars' in real life? No. So in Forza, AWD is generally better.

I believe the reason the wing lowers again is because with the wing that high it would be highly unstable and fly off lol. especially with the aero brake

The rear wing of the bugatti raises to make some downforce and better stability but it lowers when hitting the 200 mph mark some where around those numbers to reduce drag and improve top speed but it doesnt lower it completely so it can still make a small amount of downforce for stability at such high speeds, just if you were wondering :)

The rear wing goes back down at a certain speed because if it were to stay up, it would snap right off. It does the same to the McLaren P1 as well, It also helps a bit with the downforce and aerodynamics of the car. :D
youre sorta correct... the wing would produce so much downforce it would destroy the rear tires/suspension

+Aaron Fullmer your also sorta correct. its to reduce downforce to increase top speed not because it will snap off and at top speed the tires last about 12 mins.20 mins before they blow. also how could it snap off if at 250+ mph when you brake the wing points straight up and extends fully but dosent break

If forza would go more in depth with their drag racing and allow us to have 2-step/launch control to build boost before launch and even a "boost by gear" setup, we could easily complete this challenge. Especially if they'd add the foxbody coupe rather than the '93 cobra.
I like how everyone is talking about how clean and unique the Foxbody is and I have the same car and color.
He's using TCS and what appears to be automatic transmission, or sequential. Taking TCS off and clutching drops times significantly. It also looked like he tuned everything but the gears, which are the most important aspect for drag racing.
Why the fuck would you go with a fiftieth for the budget? 10% would have been much more interesting.
it wasn't the car that was lacking it was the tuning and the launch lol. slipping the tires just barely while giving it full gas will make you launch much faster. back in forza 3 and 4 I was in the top 100 on the drag leader boards on every length. considering I've played forza for 11 years I should be that good or it would be sad lol.
i was going to say that same thing if al he needed was .7 sec that can be done in a transmission tune or even in the suspension

2.shift on time, a little before hitting the redline

the reason the wing goes down a lil' bit after it pops up on a bugatti is because, it realises the car has way too much downforce that it actually slows it down so it just goes down a little bit to lower the downforce.

The reason the wing starts going back down is because if it didn't it would break the suspension.

LOL! my fox body runs 8.6's .. Use manual with clutch, mess about with gears, mid range final drive, soften front suspension, heighten it as far as it goes, Knock front rebound stiffness down/ rear in mids.. Bobs your uncle you've beat the Bugatti's time 👍🏽

Don't accelerate so much in start because if you keep accelerating till start your rev has to drop and rise up again. If you shoot up gas in middle of 1sec you get straight acceleration without any rev drops so you can also shift faster.

Just a tip if you shorten your gears a little bit and definitely shorten your 1st you might run better cause you'll have better acceleration

You should've edited your gears. Made them a little shorter and bring em closer to each other. Your shift points would've been quicker and it wouldn't take as long to shift. Then you could disable TCS and launch it in 2nd.
your Torque peak is around 4000 RPM, stop shifting at 6000 RPM and you'll get quicker
He has no clue how cars actually work. He's a "car" guy but yet lacks the ability to understand simple gearing and stuff. If he would have messed with the gears he could have made either of the cars faster.

The bugatti wing go's down at a higher speed because its causing to much drag because the wind can't get past it and the wind instead pushes on the wing and slows it down
Bugatti= 2 v8 engines, 4 turbos, AWD, 1.1 Million dollars.

Shorten your gears back down so it ends up in the top of 4th at the end of the track and quick shift 500 rpms before you are.
I mean, the foxbody is much lighter than the Veyron already and is much more nimble.
Less grip, but faster response.

If u tune the suspension how a drag suspension works it would hook better. Also it would never cost $100K for a 8 second fox. U could do it for $30K.

Forza better add some options for engines and transmissions.. Make it realistic .. Like add some engine swaps that makes more sense let's see some big blocks and and a bore and stroke options ..
Built = Low reliability in general
Bought = Supercars are unreliable and cost $$$$$$
Conclusion = Build it while keeping it reliable.
I hope you read this. in EVERY one of your videos and every car you drag race you are shifting way way too late. you don't shift any car in the game or real life at redline. or even close to it. the motor starts losing power. 500-1k rpm before redline is a good place to start. look at the dyno graphs or pull up telemetry and watch the power and torque being made and shift accordingly. you can watch your mph slow down right before you shift and gain faster after you're into the bottom end of the next gear.
The wing goes up for traction and speed than the wing creates to much drag at that height so it lowers to get even more speed
I see the problem, the nascar motor is naturally aspirated, put in a turbo and it will make the mustang faster, also lower your rear tire pressure and make the springs soft.
