He was a perfectionist..If he heard something that he didn't think was right ( a flub, blown lyric ,or musically.. ie a wrong chord ,or sour note) he wouldn;t release the record.
I met after one of her late 70's oldies shows it was sad in some ways so much talent and time wasted with sicko Phil. The scene was Danbury High School, she died there, Winter 1978 I had graduated from the Univ of Iowa J School less than six months before. She was lovely and easy to talk to.

The Ronettes are magical. Lovin' their vocals and energy. Phil Spector is a flawed genius.

This is so great! Don't you have to wonder why Phil Spector never made a single of it?

And then later on, he just plain stopped releasing their music and killed their career.
This version is better than the Ike and Tina Turner version. It just is more upbeat and orchestrated better.
