If you’re planning to AFK for more than an hour, put a bottom slab-or any opaque block-above you (it doesn’t matter how high) so that phantoms won’t spawn. Not doing so would be very dangerous for Hardcore players.

So it he said about the visuals after seeing the visuals.
And for the "it was helpful", he got to understand the volume of the required materials before building the farm as it really is helpful.
for anyone wondering the total width of the roof in its larger point is 61 blocks (33+14 of diagonal in each side)
so you even made it so fast
also if you want to you can just build the shape of the spawning platforms as a rectangle over the spawn tanks, then go out 14 blocks in each direction and connect them all up

For anyone wondering, for the top platform the video says 119, but it’s actually 91 cause shulker craft forgot to subtract 14 on each side because of the diagonal lines

Awesome farm! I built only half of it for getting the stack of conduits advancement on a blaze and caves server and in one night I had over 6 stacks of shells and multiple shulkers of tridents. I would suggest before starting up the farm making a simple storage system attached to the chests that will get rid of rotten flesh if you don't want it. Even with extra chests they fill up crazy fast and it's hard to set up once you've started the farm.
Back to your early style of videos and I love it! Very clear tutorial and nice farm.

@@KMark43 you could just use reinforcement based copper farms though which create tons more copper than any natural spawning drowned farm

@@riteshrobotics9713 yep. one of the reasons why I picked this farm in my hardcore world is that the farm is very efficient and could supply massive quantity of copper, which could be useful for the latter constructions as well as other villager projects.

imagine how easy it would be if you could simply get glass blocks by letting lava run past sand blocks.
you just go on top place the sand and then simply let lava run over it.
For this farm you can use leaves, they are much easier to collect

This farm took me 5 hrs to complete. while placing kelp one instantly grew way before i even had a chance to shear it. Fortunatly for me it wasnt a big deal. The farm works really well and damn was it worth it!

@@mayankkandpal3261 super late but for anyone else reading, you gotta redo the dirt layer and make sure there's only the 1 source block on each level. then it will flatten out again

ok to any1 here skeptical about building this. I build it myself today and it works great. Except that i changed the farm a bit. You dont need the second box (unless u want more tridents) i build just one of the boxes and in 10 mins i got 4 tridents (this is on hard tho) and you dont need to worry about the roof, at least not in my case. The roof hasnt stopped them from spawning or going into the killing chamber. Hope this saves you some time

A useful tip is u can bonemeal the kelp instead of placing it down

Just got done building half of this farm on a tiny section of river close to my spawnpoint. You don't even need the farm to be entirely inside of a river biome! The river I used was a thin strip surrounded by forest and taiga, and it still works. After just 15 minutes of using the farm I had 5 tridents. This so beats hanging out in the bottom of the ocean lol

For those who play on 1.19. This farm still works. *However!* : Since the light level changes for mobs to spawn you will probberly need to build a bigger platform above for it to be lightevel 0 or else this farm wont work during day time!

@@stumblesoul4260 Instead of making a glass cube I just reccomenf to make the cube out of solid blocks. This way you dont need extra blocks.
But if still you wanna have the glass cube, I believe you need to make the platform above it 2x as big.
This just seems like pure overkill considering how easy ianxofour's trident farm is
Being able to just afk with an auto clicker is much nicer then having to run back and forth along a platform to get the tridents. I had a world where we had a shop system so i constantly had to keep my supply of tridents high so i ended up building a farm like this to mass produce them. I do agree that if your just looking for a couple tridents to just use ianxofours design tho

This farm works very well in the multiplayer server. it makes lots of trident, copper, rotten flaeh and nautilus shell.
tips : gravity block duper is very helpful to get blocks.
When you finish to build this farm, place armor stand then you could attack all of drowneds at once:)

I just wanted to give my opinion that this farm is good at producing rates but is very difficult and needs many blocks to make so I liked the one we make in the deep ocean with nether portal, note blocks, tripwire hook, I hope you understood what i am talking about otherwise I liked the farm. Keep posting such videos. Love from India

This farm works great! I built it in my survival world a few days ago and its providing me with all the necessary tridents. It gets me over 14 tridents in an hour.
why on earth would you use THIS many building blocks for 14 TRIDENTS?? per hour??... use ianxofour's trident farm. 100x easier and more efficient

@@Cat-gd8ju 14 tridents per hour is I think pretty fast in terms of trident farming, since tridents have stupidly low drop rates.

i made the farm with cobblestone and under the roof is so dark that zombies, skeletons and creepers spawn around the water.
Can i put torches around the water or i will prevent drowned from spawning?
Thank you for the very clear, easy tutorial on this farm. I wish more tutorial videos were as well done. I only built half of this farm and ended up with 6 tridents in about an hours time.
- I did notice that my hunger bar wares down rapidly, especially when trying to AFK the farm. I almost died from starvation but caught it in time so will only kill manually so I can keep an eye on the hunger. Any solution for that?
- I also kept breaking the glass behind the kill platform so I changed those three blocks to smooth stone so they wouldn't break. I might change it up and put some slabs so that back "wall" is out of reach of my sword and child drown will not go into that space.
- There is a ton of (for me) useless items. Like I need more zombie flesh, so I am thinking of a sorting system that will dump zombie flesh, fishing polls (I don't know if an item sorter sees enchanted items as it's base item), onto a cactus and just keep shells, heads, and tridents.
- Finally, WFT is with the chickens? Why am I getting chickens in my farm?
Sometimes drowned babies will spawn riding on chickens .

As of 1.20.6 this works flawlessly, got a trident within 5 minutes of turning it on. However, as noted by previous comments, kelp stage isn’t possible without temporary lighting.
one kelp grew before i could use the shears on it. what do i do now? i hope i dont have to do it all over again?

Something funny I found out about this farm is that in Hardcore Chicken jockeys spawn so I also get a really slow chicken farm as well!
