I believe you should have had a year of full-time employment, be a US citizen with a voter ID card, and be over 30 years old to vote.
I believe there are some that are under thirty can vote, military members can enter the military at seventeen and with three years of service, they certainly can understand what is going on. I am a military brat (daughter of a US military member), military spouse (wife) and military member myself (retired now) and at thirty and at twenty three had been in the military three years, and certainly understood the concepts of loyalty and duty to my country and even said under God in my oath. So, as to the over thirty, I do not agree. Many thousands of people gave their lives for our country and they, most of all deserved the right to vote from military members, FBI agents and others that serve their country and the good citizens who obey the laws of our country understand commitment to the country we live up and those are the ones that are needed to vote.
