  • Show as I go! Page of all measurements at the very end. Little intro for first few minutes.
I hope you find my videos helpful, and perhaps they saved you money and headaches. You can return the favor and the balance in the universe through Buy me a coffee, which is a simple uncomplicated way to donate as low as 2$ to keep this channel as much ad-free as CZcams allows.
I understand that YT adds a few ads, on which YT collects ALL royalties (I get none.) Yet, were I to monetize the channel, the number of ads would sky-rocket and would be very disruptive to your viewing experience.
To keep my videos as ad-free as possible, I welcome your kind support through Buy me a coffee.
I spend a considerable amount of my time (and resources) to run this channel. As I have NO SPONSORS, get NO KICK-BACKS, nor deals of any kind with any manufacturer, your kind support goes a very long way to help me to keep this channel going!
    www.buymeacoff...
I appreciate every kind gesture. Also, through Buy me a coffee you can message me, and I prioritize the Buy me a coffee messages.
    Greetings, János

When building transmission lines, I often have taken the opportunity to round the interior transitions instead of having a straight 90 degree transitions. This also avoids what is very unequal length pathwayd and reflections. Something as simple as heavy cardboard backed by plaster of Paris seems to work well. Any thoughts?
As always, my friend, an excellent and informative presentation. Thank you!

Hey J sounds like you’ve found the fun in this again! My daughter has Keff Celeste 1 speakers c 1960 which use the racetrack drivers and my buddy a gifted vac valve amp builder of 50 yrs also uses those Keffs in his workshop (although he has A7’s in his main system) I think they are excellent musical reproducers.

YES i would agree not much baffle on either side i had saved KEF UNI\Q DRIVERS from kef 103/4 model very nice speakers when built and the crossover top notch i had them remounted in a newly constructed cabinet with mods to crossover and new bass driver UNBELIVABLE sound better than original i tell you and cost super cheap considering one uniQ DRIVER IS 1000 DOLLARS

That is an excellent driver, very similar to the driver I am using here, would be top choice for this cabinet. I've just seen your other comment on the 300B / modified Darling question. I'm using the AO with my modified Darling, which is Darling with 807 as the power tube. The 807 is a pentode (actually a beam tetrode), in triode mode, and it gives about 2-3W. It's a perfect match for the AO for a mid / small size room (6mx4m). Will share more on it. I started out with the Darling, as it has the most "friendly" voltages inside for learning purposes. Going for higher power means much higher voltages. Do something silly with the Darling, you get an angry electric bite. Do the same thing with a 300B, and good chance it's a funeral.

If anyone wants greatest available elliptical/oval car audio 6x9 like driver for this project i found Sonido SWR 096/A I don't think there's anything better heck it might be better than almost most full range/wideband drivers. Probably janos could help more in comparing his driver ts params to the sonido if he even has ts params(they can be calculated). Janos what do you think?
Also would love a dimentions video on VOL. I know you did many videos but none were 1 concise only box dimensions video. Happy new year Janos!

From what i heard & experimented it really doesn't make a huge difference. Especially if the baffle isn't far too wide than the width of the driver itself. On far too wide baffle it makes a difference also depends on how thick the top plate of the driver is.

Fantastic and so generous of you Janos.
I am going forward using the new 096 Sonido driver that a fellow disciple of yours has suggested.
Was the m agony sides chosen for aesthetic or sonic reasons?

It's not an attraction, platform is doing that without channel permission. Channel benefits zero. They are getting more and more aggressive with it.
