Movie Hunting : Out of Print Blu-ray/Dvds and Vhs Tapes

Our new move hunting video where me and Danny (Cinestalker) go out looking for rare and out of print Dvds and Blu-rays as well as Vhs tapes as well as retro toys at an antique store. We also checked out a a couple thrift stores and find a closing down video rental store where most of the Blu-rays and Dvds are only $1

The Places we check out in our movie hunting video are:
* Granny's Attic Antique Mall - We checked out lots of really cool retro toys such as A Talking Ed Grimley Doll in Box, Pee-Wee Playhouse Play-Set, McDonald's Playset and French Fy Snack Maker and Hamburger Snack Maker as well a lots of retro toys and Dvd as well as few Vhs tapes.
* Noah's ark Distribution - We saw lots of out of print Dvds such as the new Zoo Revue season one Dvd and lots of out of print Brentwood Dvds and lots of tv series.
* Angel View Thrift Store - We saw lots of Dvd and Vhs tapes as well as a few big box Vhs Tapes such as Honor Among Thieves and a French Vhs video tape of Back to the Future.
* Savers - Checked out the much larger selection to Dvd and Blu-rays for sale.
* Star Videos - Movie Rental and Sales - We check out a video rental store which also has a U.S. Post office inside it as well.
* Dollar General - Checked all all the Blu-Rays and Dvds for sale and saw lots of tv series and Dvds for a Dollar or more.
* Video Vision-South - Checked out the closing down old school video rental store. Most of the Blu-rays and Dvds were only $1 Dollar. We both ended up picking up so many Blu-ray and Dvds.
* Mad Platter Records - A Record Stores which has CDs, Dvds and Blu-rays as well as Vinyls for Sale - Zábava
I swear the chemistry when these two are together is faultless.

That was a famous album in the 70s. It is a disco version of Holiday songs by the Salsoul Orchastra. I still rock that music today.

Lil I know and we only had a little Before the store was closing for the evening.
I really enjoy these hunting videos. It's interesting to look at obscure DVDs.

It always amazes me seeing how much VHS there still is in the States. I can't remember the last time I saw any here in the UK at all

The store you went to that was closing was like hitting the jackpot. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. Most of those movies are on my black Friday list this year. Hopefully I can find a good deal on them.

Great video Shawn. I used to go to a store called Granny's Attic in upstate New York. Great selection of VHS tapes and NES games. This was about 20-25 years ago.

A Redd Foxx doll! I met Redd Foxx on the set of Sanford and Son when I was a baby, I did a video about meeting him:) How much was the Redd Foxx doll? Coolduder please show us the Pee Wees playhouse! Rick Steve's Europe was a great show! Those dolls were freaky!

Does anybody else realize how good a movie would be starring Shawn. I don’t think anybody is doing off the wall characters as well as him these days. It’s about time to give him a shot. A bigger budget and starring role I think would kill it. Also, imagine Shawn helping direct and have a hand in the soundtrack. Please someone just pony up The money and let’s go. Does anybody give a shit about art anymore? Here’s a real artist man. Someone take a chance. Been seeing him hone his chops now for 10 years. It’s time.

Loved this video, it was so much fun! I would have needed a cart at that place, can't believe they were only selling that stuff for $1, some of those were only a few weeks old.
I know some of the stuff that was only just came out was that cheap it was only a few things in there they were over a dollar

When you say you are going to look up a movie, what is a good source for the value of a vhs/dvd/bluray?
I look on eBay and Amazon if I think a title might be rare of out of print
All those mugs were made by this company called Toby, they are "Toby Mugs. They were a popular collectible in the 80s and the 90s; people thought theyd be considered sought after art and would appreciate in value. I know for a fact they are not worth more than like 50 bucks. My grandma had a ton of those including all those little ones, we couldn't give them away.

Buy up all those blu rays for a dollar, and take it down to the used book and video store, trade them in and make a ton of cash, or credit at the store! I do it all the time LOL

I like to think of these old odd shows and movies as yesterdays content creators content. There was no CZcams for them so they had to go about producing their stuff in the way of VHS and DVDs. If you search CZcams you will find some odd and corky channels with some pretty strange themes much like many of these VHS tapes and DVDs you found.
What's that store where everything was a dollar and you got a lot of them?
I have been getting the Ben stiller movies on dvd and bluray
I found PCU and Pee Wee's Xmas for $2 each dvd. Always wanted to find PCU in the "wild". I got a candy machine like that for $4 at Goodwill, needs locks. That closing store! Holey Geez!

No actual video games there! Booooo....lol I visited one years ago that had an actual Donkey Kong 3 for $350.00. It worked, too and I didn't get it. The cabinet wasn't in very good shape though, but I should have got it.
My best found was a Blu Ray copy of The Cable Guy (1996) starring Jim Carrey. Got it for 5$. It’s out of print and goes for 150$ on eBay 😺

Most of hard to find ones are not hard to find amazon, eBay, if media play, fye still had store you can find them there
No that is true for sure. What online you’re paying high prices all the time for the rare ones. And thrift stores and pawnshops you can sometimes find them very cheap
For some reason whenever I find the Popeye film it's always in bad shape. I like that you almost started hyperventilating at the end. I love finds like that.

@@b4bobby35 as of yesterday 11/27 they were still open, Blu-ray selection is obviously starting to dwindle, but they still have a ton of DVDs on the shelves.

Haha, that French Back to the Future bootleg is an odd / interesting item for sure. Being a French-Canadian, I can confirm that it is indeed the right movie on the tape ("Retour Vers le Futur"), although there is another movie on the tape with it. Not that anybody cares, I just have an eye for useless details like that, LOL!

Yeah with most of them they only had the Bluray’s. But was still glad to get them for a dollar
