Centering the chicken and only turning on the side burner helps cook the chicken evenly. Also, I would recommend putting an aluminum pan under it to catch all the juice that runs off. It will steam up and continuously seasons the chicken. This also allows you to cook the outside longer for that traditional look while not drying out the chicken. Cheers!
@joelgarcia9375 Thank man. You should see it from my Camp Chef Pellet grill! It's even better. czcams.com/video/aQuHOX7zcNo/video.html

Great video Scott! Do you still use the Grill Grates? I have them and should I remove them when using a rotisserie?
@macdonaldmediatoronto I sure do! Just haven't got a set for this one...yet. You would not need them for the rotisseries unless you chicken is hitting them. Merry Christmas!

Thanks. This was helpful. It would also have been helpful to know how many lbs your chicken was and more precisely how long you cooked it. Also, you didn't ever say if you had to turn the burner on and off that was closest to the bird. But these things can be figured out. Thanks again for giving us a great starting point!
Glad you liked it Karen Altom. One of the reason I don't mess with time in vidoes much, is you should always cook to finished target temperature. Weight of meat is not a big factor as different chickens, cows pigs are going to have different fat and moisture contents. (Especially if you brine or inject) That's where a great wireless probe like the Tappecue Airprobe is a really good investment. www.tappecue.com/airprobe3?ref=N2gWDdvT

Is it okay to use the rod without the counterweight ?!
@alidrissi3906 yes, you only really need it if things are flopping around die to uneven weight. Most of the time you can truss it up so it spins evenly.

Do you think a turkey would fit on that rotisserie set up?
@thomasfrank8958 a small one. I would suggest cooking a turkey by "Spatchcock" method. Like in this video: czcams.com/video/XCq0pV7oriw/video.html

Is anything above 165 degrees ok? Or should it be 180 degrees?
@husafel Im like 160*~ for the breast and 175 to 180 for the Thighs (175 seems to be a bit less "mushy" if you can pull that off without undercooking the breast.)

Depends where you live I guess in terms of "legal" advice. In the UK the official food standard is 74c/165f.
