Those were some biggins Matt! We don’t have poplar in my area but it sounds similar to our silver maple on how fast it dries. The VS definitely is a back saver! Take care👊🏻
It will be fine for sure I been doing it over 35 years . Stacking bulk wood sucks . I will put cherry and hickory ,apple , pecan in ICB totes but the rest gets piled . Poplar that nice would fly through a Box wedge unit .
Which splitter, horizontal OR vertical causes more wrestling with the log rounds? I get all tree service type wood, and it’s huge stuff. Trying to decide for myself.
A horizontal splitter is faster for productivity but harder on the body. The vertical is easier on the body but less productive. The deal breaker for me is two ppl can run the horizontal where the vertical is a single person splitter. Hope that helps.
Sliced and diced!👍👍

Man, I blink and you are really getting some inventory. Nice job!
A cord a week adds up! Thanks

Yea, it actually dries faster than silver maple. I love silver maple too. Thanks for watching and the 17vs makes big rounds a lot easier and safer.
Gotta love the quick turn time on poplar. I have no problem mixing it in with my campfire offerings.
Yes it’s nice having a fast drying wood!
Great splitting session!! The 17VS-C is getting a workout!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks for watching!
Another great video thanks for doing what you do
Thanks!
Good video showing your thought process on piling vs ibc 👍 Makes sense to me. Good splitting on those big rounds
Thank you!

Splitter looks amazing, what size are those 20$ stacks?
2x2ft and the splitter does a great job on big rounds!
