This is haunting on so many levels..mostly because it is personal to me. As I grow older I can't stop dwelling on my first real true maddening love. I wonder often...does he think of me..ever. Does he remember the passion..wild crazy love..tears...missing each other as he tolled away in college leaving me behind? I don't know why..but I relive those passionate nights..days at the beach till sun sets...I swear I can still feel the sun warm my shoulders and face.. I can still smell the salt air sticking to my skin. with the promises we made. Love forever..no distance can tear us apart. But it did...she did...I did. Strangely I think of our children What they'd look like ...boys..girls...each a pairing of our souls. Why do I do this... Like she does..I wonder if Im remembering a dream..a fantasy. Was he real? Did I create him from a slab of sand dried in the sun? Or was it real..true...holding him so close we become entwined like the rose bushes...sweet beach plums...can't get the taste out of my mouth. Will I ever or die with the longing of him being there..growing old with me.. I wonder..still.
Beautiful and haunting - the soothing yet melancholic music in the background adds another dimension to the dreamy, but at the same time unsettling manner in which the poem is recited.
Wow!!! Your reading is magical and haunting, along with the piano! Congratulations 💜 It makes me dream of my musician love, who doesn't listen to my white notes.
This haunting and beautiful poem reminds me of Don Quixote and his Dulcinea 😂 he made her up inside his head with his arbitrary blackness galloping in, and his psychosis in blue and red, by reading too much chivalry books😅 I highly recommend reading Don Quixote of La Mancha, it's the best literary work ever made 💙
In the beginning I didn't like her accent. But the more I replay the video the less it bothers me. I love the background music, so that helps. But I _do_ wish that she could pronounce the word "arbitrary" much less awkwardly than she does. It's downright cringe-worthy.
I can't help but wonder what kind of lover she was when she was in her sexual prime. Insatiable or frigid. Somehow I am able to imagine her as being either.

This is my all-time favorite comment :)
my favourite poem by Plath and i absolutely love your whole arrangement and the way you read it. So haunting, just as it should be. Amazing job.
But I grow old and I forget your name......
Such a haunting voice and piano!
Never heard this poem before. I love it. It's just become one of my newest favorites. Not a lot of poems are among my favorites.
I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed and sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane.
Beautiful and haunting - the soothing yet melancholic music in the background adds another dimension to the dreamy, but at the same time unsettling manner in which the poem is recited.
You made me want to read her poems.
The very talented.
The strings, piano and waves
the tecitation nuance
all witched me!
you witched me!
Not one of Sylvia's more lyrical poems yet I loved Zun Hoang's haunting rendition of the poem's simple vulnerability! Thank you.
What a hauntingly beautiful rendition. You capture Sylvia and the essence of the poem perfectly~~
At least when spring comes they roar back again.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
i am not really into poetry but this one. this speaks to me... really speaks to me
A sublime treasure...I fell in love with Sylvia.Plath many years ago.
A lovely reading...thank you.
Beautiful. I'm in tears. Thank you, Mrs. Greene, for introducing this to us.
This poem has the dark thud of a human heartbeat

Wish you a very Happy Birthday Sylvia. We're so glad to find you. Maybe one day I'll dedicate my book to you.
What a beautiful reading. So haunting and tragic, just like Plath herself.

This poem is like my favorite song, it's amazing.

Farklı çevirileri var onlar daha iyi sanki
Bu biraz edebilikten uzak
¡Qué poder! ¡Te amo Sylvia ❤!

I bet she would have loved Pakistani poetry. She kind of writes like an urdu or persian poet.

Each thing is said in a pant.
Thank you for your take, but no, it's done each breath gasping for air for itself The structure of the verse.
anyone here from that horror wattpad book by pixie smthn? just me? ok
Why is she reading it like this? Isn't she American? Why is she reading as though she can't speak English?

She was Sensual.
The reader has too much of an accent to properly convey Plath's poetry. It's distracting.
You have too much of an ego, it’s sad
Wow
