Brilliant 👏 clear , straight to point and no messing about.
Excellent tutorial, i used it to replace the A/C control bulbs in my 2008 avensis. I would normally never have tackled a job like this but my local Toyota dealer wanted €100 to do this. I bought the four bulbs i needed from the Toyota dealer for €17.71 and the job took me one hour to complete, im well pleased now as everything went smoothly and the new bulbs are working great, one tip i would give is to use a magnetic nut wrench as if you loose a nut it will fall down into oblivion, otherwise its a handy enough job even if it looks a little daunting, and I've little or no mechanical skills.
I did this on my older Avensis and put an old towel in the hole in front of the gear changer. If you drop any of the 4 mounting screws down there then you may not find them again. Also a magnetic socket or a bit of blu-tac on the end will "capture" the bolt until you have got it out of the way.
I wanted to dismount my cigar lighter unit (the power socket in it is dead), your 10 seconds action involving the gear handle give me a critical clue. Thank you!
Cheers. Right head unit. Wrong car but even your video helps. Thanks.
Thanks alot! Just the info i need to switch out the stereo in my car!
It's useful mainly for Norwegians due to FM switch-off. #FMexit
Shall do it on my avensis soon.
Great instructional video. How do I do the same thing with the automatic? No way to get around the stick.
***** Do exactly the same as the vid. Put selector back in 1 or 2 gear and remove gear knob

Great video! How do I disassemble the radio unit from the heat/fan-unit? I have loosen all screws but it seems to be stuck with some plastic gadgets.
Tomas Cervin It slides to one side and separates. You have to use a bit of grunt and shove though and be careful not to force it
Hi. Any info about radio model and/or any photo of back of radio.. please..
Excellent
You forgot one thing. There must be several models of Avensis out there as I have a 2002 model (Ireland)?)and the front panel is completely different from your system. The ashtray underneath is mine is a simple one piece and does not have a facia going down to the stick. Also there is no long thin facia piece above the stereo and below the ventilators.
I put it back and now write no data.how reset plz
i have t22 from 2002, can i only replae the cd player with an autoplayer'?

Hey,
Great video.
Do you know if this radio have aux in?
It doesn't have AUX
Thx - Useable
i wanna buy new radio for avensis. what is this model or what radio do you recommend?
Patryk K I'm going to buy the Pioneer FH-X840 DAB. Look like a very good stereo. Just remember if you have the standard radio, the one with CD and cassete player. You have to buy a kit for installing a single or double din.
halfords guy
your the daddy man
Immobilier
rapide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who on earth would do this?
Anyone with interest of tuning their car from standard boring to a bit more modern and maaaaad car. ;) :D There are a million kits on ebay for changing radio, many people only want a 1-DIN :)
Someone who'll add a 6Cd drive or a usb/Sd/Bluetooth module that you'll have to plug on the backside of the radio... :/
