Thank you so much for rescuing this beautiful pigeon. Pigeons are so underrated and undervalued 🎉🎉❤
Wonderful job .. God bless you
Great job! I wish you could keep him.
God Bless you for rescuing the pigeon!
Awe he's so cute. Nice job! Rescued yet another bird🕊️. Lol,the cicadas are so loud this time of year.
I'm so thrilled to watch this sweet pigeon rescued by you Donna. He is so pretty ❤
All the birbs come to you
oh what a beauty!! so pretty 🥰🥰🥰
Great catch! Thank you so much for your perseverance with this little beauty, Donna 💜xXx
I want to know who is telling all these lost birds to go to Donna's house if they need help. 😂 This bird has no idea but she hit the jackpot! 😉
My brother calls me Dr. Doolittle, lol. I have helped birds, squirrels, a mouse and a cat that had kittens.
@@Loveofpets And rabbits, correct ? Didn't you rescue Daisy and Clover from being abandoned in a lot.
@@Loveofpets I have that reputation too. We are birds of a feather. (No pun intended) 🤣
I had a white pigeon when I was a child. Her name was Pandora. She had tried to join the local wild flock near the Mission close to where we lived. Apparently they didn't except her. So one day us kids were outside playing and she flew down and came right to us!! She wanted help. 😢 So we adopted her! She was beautiful and SUPER SWEET. Way sweeter than my parrots. 😆
Hi Donna I Used To 🛟 Rescue Too,Awesome, It’s A Lot Of diligence And Patience To Bring Them To Safety!!!! God Bless❤
You saved another bird! Crazy! Great job and thanks for sharing, he’s gorgeous! 🥰🥰🥰
It's funny how the birds that need help end up in your yard! The laundry basket technique cracked me up! Way to go!
I love pigeons we have many in our loft ❤
Wow, that was a great rescue. They hawk made me very nervous.
I caught an escaped fantail pigeon recently, he started sleeping on my neighbours roof and foraging in the street during the day, never went to any bird feeders, never touched any of the food I put down how he didn’t get ran down by a car or caught by a cat I don’t know but after two weeks stalking I was able to grab him.
Built an aviary and got him some company in a pigeon hen from a local animal rescue, I was worried he wouldn’t take to her as I’d seen him actively avoiding the local feral flock which visits my bird feeders and chasing off any birds that approached but he welcomed her into his aviary and seems very happy now.
How virtuous! Bless you for rescuing this little one.
Great job again!! 😊
Thank you 🤗
So beautiful.
Wow, another rescued bird! Funny that I stumbled on this video... just over 2 weeks ago, we found the twin copy of this bird in woods near our house. Couldn't leave the poor thing there, so we caught him and brought it home. He's on local lost/found pets websites. We will adopt him/her if nobody claims this little beauty. He's quarantined from our cockatiel for at least 2 more weeks. Seems in good health, but the wings were clipped so flying is lacking precision... we'll see! Always nice to follow your videos!😊
I’m sooo happy to have found your channel; what a blessing you are! When I was a little girl, my grandma set up a basket trap just like yours! I’m pretty certain, she didn’t expect me to catch a bird, but just to be quiet and out of her hair! Was she ever shocked when I DID catch one 😂 Anyhow, you are very much appreciated! Bravo 😊
Welcome to my channel! What a fun story, lol.
How do you do it every time, catching birds! I admire you!
Yay! Another successful rescue. I ❤ the MacGyver bird trap. 😊
Great catch. Yes, you saved another bird's life. You are wonderful. Any update on the budgie that flew onto your budgie cage and then into your house recently ?
Thank you so much for the super chat. I will be making an update on the budgie soon.
Yay! Great job!😃
Thank you!
I get a flock of regular pigeons everyday at my feeders, the odd injured one, usual a failed hawk attack, will retreat under my deck at night, getting quite dirty. I've nursed them back health using crates and chicken wire as a housing and within a week they're ready to join their flock❤ hawks will paralyze their spine, but it is a temporary paralysis. Something you may encounter in your yard at some point, sharing my story may help you down the road. 😊😊😊
I have a pigeon like that with just a little of brown on the edge of his wings
Any update with parkeet you captured?
Do you still have the lost budgie? The pigeon is very beautiful. Great job
Thank you 😊. I still have the lost Budgie. I will make an update video soon.
❤
❤❤❤❤❤
Hi, me again! Well, because of your video, I decided to look more closely at the white dove we found 2 1/2 weeks ago...it has feather lice! I don't know for how long, or if it has spreaded in the house to my cockatiel. Anyway, we need to solve this problem. We'll try to grab my vet on the phone or in person asap tomorrow morning. Thank you for educating me!😊
I was freaked out by the lice. I will be uploading the video while at the rescue and you will see the Pigeon being treated for lice. Most definitely ask your vet about lice and check your Cockatiel for lice.
Feather lice are very easy to treat, just an anti-mite spray under the wings and one on the tail. Def contact your vet though!
@@NashuNash thank you! The spray didn't mention where to spray, just to avoid the eyes. So, I sprayed from atop his back, tail, wings (folded), then from under, the tail, belly. I think I'll wait a couple of days and spray under the wings, following your advice!
@@nicoleblanchard3856 my pigeon caught feather lice in transport. (He was delivered to me in a box via a courier.) They can be difficult to remove, as well as spraying the bird you also need to clean any bedding, or anywhere he has been. Also, I believe they can live on dead feathers for weeks so make sure to hoover all of those up incase of reinfestation.
One last comment. 😆 Your trap totally reminds me of the old Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons. 'Acme roadrunner trap'. 😂 (I don't know if they have that cartoon in Canada)
Haha, I watched that show all the time and loved it. Lol
