Do the loan products and fees vary from state to state? Are the laws different in each state? Just curious.

To answer your question, like other mortgages fees vary from state to state. There are some slight differences with the product. For instance, in Texas both borrowers must be at least 62, which is not the case in most if not all the other states. Massachusetts requires the counseling done by a HUD approved housing agency be done in person whereas most other states allow via phone.
