There’s no way in hell the intense psychedelia of Eleanor Rigby, I’m Only Sleeping, Tomorrow Never Knows, She Said She Said, Yellow Submarine and Love You To would’ve fit on RS.

I was born in 1985. I was introduced to The Beatles at an early age of course. I grew up indulging in all the music of the 90’s and loved the rock, alternative and “nu-metal”
scene of the late 90’s/early 2000’s. I listen to rap, techno, EDM, metal, punk, folk, classical, R&B, and so on. I also LOVE classic rock of all era’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s…
I’m 36 today and there is no doubt in my mind that of all the music I’ve heard and listened to, and of all the SONGS I’ve ever heard. To this day…I consider “In My Life” the greatest song ever written. It is my favorite song and piece of music of all time. It’s the song I want played at my funeral. There is no doubt. This album and band are beyond legendary. They’re damn near mythical.

I played it over and over and I could never make up my mind if it was the pulsating drums or the guitar like I've never heard before. To this day, I still can't make up my mind ... and that doesn't even begin to talk about the lyrics. Stunning. Then finally, I decided to relisted to the rest of the album. Rubber Soul was the first Beatles album i fully listened to. It was about 1,5 year ago when i asked my grandparents if they had any Beatle vinyls
I've heard some songs of them back then.
It was lovely when i had a listen to it! I now have heard a lot of the Beatles' songs, but i still have 3 albums i want to listen to, on vinyl, for the first time.

Rubber Soul. The album that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up and the room seemed to be a little bit brighter when I heard the opening of I've Just Seen A Face. I was 11 years old at the time. Amazing portion of that track. It was my eldest brothers record. After listening to this one I next found 12X5 from The Rolling Stones in his collection. Blew me away. Back to the Beatles. I bought Revolver and the whole thing just smoked my mind. Especially She Said, She Said. thank you for your channel and also for affording me the opportunity to share my love for the Beatles recordings and their willingness to be genuine and live their lives 'out loud' if you will. Great job. Will continue to sneak into your channel brother. Much love.

Rubber Soul was my first Beatles album. It was being tossed out of our neighbors record store after she passed away. It was a strange time in my life. Mrs Oakes was our neighbor and just a sweet lady. When we took a train from Wichita to Seattle to visit our dad who had gotten transferred by Boeing, Mrs Oakes had gone to the hospital. We didnt know what that meant and when we came back 3 weeks later, she had died.. This was 1967 and my parents hated rock n roll music. We were not allowed to have that music in our home or to listen to it on the radio. It was right after that, when I bought a transistor radio. I was 10 years old and started listening to the pop stations in secret. And then that album... I literally changed my life. I had heard Beatles music when visiting friends or specially my cousin who had older siblings in high school. But to hold the album and listen to it in secret while reading the credits... I remember seeing them on Ed Sullivan in 1964 also while visiting our cousins. Seeing the older girls going crazy and I knew I wanted to be a part of that. Listening to Rubber Soul while reading the credits the first time was like that. Life Changing..

And in my 20's fronted a "Beatle Band" because I could sound like both John and Paul just enough to pass the performance off. And today, I even wear Beatles logo adult diapers. So there!!!

I was hooked! and every release was unique, wonderful, growing into something better, more forward, pushing the limits.
Which is the best? Absurd question. They all are/were---in their time. Each, in their time, was remarkable. They lead us forward
as they traveled forward. We went with them. They were great because they brought us along on their journey.

Rubber Soul changed my world in that something was being said. as a thirteen year old I could not tell you what that "something" was. As a sixty seven year old I cannot tell you what the "something" was. I always thought Revolver is all about the music. Happy Happy Happy. Then more shit hit the fan than any sane person could have foreseen and these poor guys had the youth of the world looking to them for some type of support. Beatles six and Revolver are my favorite tunes albums. Rubber Soul is a spiritual experience. bob
