Do you think the hedge trimmer part is capable of cutting through tall decorative grasses? I cut my tall grasses down in the spring and I have a lot of them. In previous years I have used either a machette or a 24" long corded hedge trimmer. Both of these can be unwieldy so I am wondering if this tool with the hedge part would do the trick.

Yes, we have several pampas grass plants and in the spring we use the hedge trimming tool to cut off the brown dried shoots. It cuts real good as long as you don't push it too fast. Thanks.
