- Various television commercials from Australia:
This advertisement was first broadcast on Australian television in the late eighties.

It's funny, I have no recollection of David Lynch directing a CC's commercial in the 1980s 🤔
CC’s you can’t say “DOH”
Super 1988 CC's corn chips "can't say no" commercial!
This is the creepiest ad I've ever seen.
Even creepier now that one of the actors (the cops) has just been convicted of murdering his wife in the 80s
Watch the Kinder Surprise one then
I remember this ad but I thought it was earlier than 1988, like 1985 or '86.
Yes. I bought some CC's from coles just now. Aussie owned and made unlike USA Doritos and their genetically modified ingredients.
The anti-discrimination folks would have a field day....
I just said yes for the first time!
Wow, this was a blast from the past.
Their ads just got wackier and wackier.
Going by the comments here, people have regressed and become bland sheep. I enjoyed these ads when they were seen everyday on television.
WTF?!! Was the ending that deliberate?! This ad has leaves with more questions than answers and I don't care for that but what the hell were they smoking back in 1988?! It was a good year but damn I didn't know it was THAT good!!!!?!..
0:08 - Is that the Dawson brothers playing the police officers?
Yes mate, absolutely😉
Yes it is.
Exactly what I came here to ask
Hahaha! OMG! So true! I just saw that...how odd.
I swear that on a family holiday in Sydney in May 1984 we were walking across Hyde Park towards Centrepoint and the wedding scene with musclely guy in the black speedos was being filmed at what must be St Mary's Cathedral. So was the ad filmed in 1984?
BTW the two nodding policemen are Chris and Paul Dawson. Chris was convicted of murder on 30 August 2022 for killing his wife on 8 January 1982, 2 years before this ad was filmed.
They must have ingested too many agricultural chemicals when they were making this
What is up with the ending with two Catholic Nuns falling and the film Stopping for. Was that part,of the commercial or that was just because of age
Two recurring characters in the CCs ads were the young man who had been kidnapped by nuns and was tied up (0:17) and the muscle man who was guarding him (0:14). 'CC' sounds like 'si si' ('yes yes' in Spanish) so the CC's slogan was 'You can't say no', and everyone is nodding. The film stopping was part of the ad.
Ok
0:08 “you can’t say no” WTF!
This is even more wtf than the one with people's heads falling off.
Doritos in Australia are made locally by Smiths Snackfoods. Until 2008 CC's were part of Snack Brands wholly owned via Arnotts by US company Campbell's Soup. We've been genetically modifying for centuries. Almost no "natural" food today existed in the same form a few hundred years ago. Potatoes were originally poisonous & carrots are orange 'cause of the Dutch. Selective breeding & splicing are early forms of genetic modification & we've simply advanced the technique to a molecular level.
no
Weirdest ad I've ever seen.
Drugs had to have been involved at one point or throughout the making of this ad.
Go home ad you’re drunk
