Man I wish there was a way, maybe with the customers permission or something, to see the before and after temperatures on these. I'd place my bets that CPU is running a good 15 degrees cooler considering how much was caked on there. Also these vids were a big help when I decided to finally take my computer(mostly) apart and clean it up. Keep em comin big dawg.
He mentioned later in the vid that he will try to do a before and after for a reference
seriously???
I mean if he doesnt want to mess with the customers os he can always switch the customers ssd with his for testing
Lol you didn't watch the full video bro. 😂
Dirt/Dust/cable management will never do a 15 degree change, unless I am wrong. Thermal paste and airflow for an old system does more.
Not gonna lie, I thought that Greg for April's Fool would upload a PCDD, PC Deep Dirtying, where we would see him get a completely new and clean PC so damn dirty.
that's sacrilege so i don't think he has the stomach for that. Greg would probably choke the guy who does this.
@@harmless-kun nah, nah, use an old junker that doesn't have collectors value. Maybe one made of some of the worst parts from the chosen generation, like that one pentium 4 that was so infamous.
The PC Professor with perfect OCD presentation, AND favourite PC builder! What I love about Mr Salazar? His videos are informative and I understand what I’m being taught! What I hate about Mr Salazar? His videos are perfect and properly presented that it triggers my OCD and I have an addiction to watching his videos! Greg Salazar and Dave2D are two trusted CZcams PC professors that I trust when it comes to giving out informative PC Intel! There’s nothing like them! Keep up the great work Mr Salazar! You’re doing a phenomenal job sir!
Kind regards all the way across the pond in London
Peter!
Much appreciated, Peter! :-D
@@GregSalazar it’s a pleasure my good sir!
I'm addicted to this series and I always lovin' watching this videos.
It's relaxing, plenty of info about the PC, case, how to clean it, props used and so on.
And the combination above with the great music, Jesus, super relaxing.
I have also 500DX in white version and it's great!
Ty Salazar for all your work, for your honesty, all the knowledge. You're a wonderful man.
With 💕 from Romania.
It is crazy to see how dirty pcs really get just from sitting around also great video.
Well you can buy an air purifier for your room, have one and since then i dont really have to clean anything
Now you see how much skin cells and other things that settle
@@BRAVOVII yeah
@@benspeedylive7330 🤮 lol
I can't wait for your channel to reach 1 million subs. You definitely deserve a million subs, if not more. Great video as always. Keep up the excellent work.
Greg i am a very huge fan of you, I've watched so many pc rigs you have fixed and I always watch them because they give me so much advice I just started to use my gift building pc for people and trying to fix their issues, but every video you release it stays in my head as to where exactly the problem is 💯
Man its crazy to see how much your channel has grown, I was out of the PC world for a while now and haven't watched you since the Science Studio days. Good stuff man.
So happy to not see an obnoxious April Fool's video. Great job as usual!
ohh the music while he is cleaning the PC is so pleasing to me ears. Good job Greg. Love your Vids ❤️
Props for the cable management. Enjoy these videos. Amazing how much dust collects.
Just wanted to applaud the amount of time and effort it takes to set up the camera and lighting in between each part of your montage. The cleaning takes enough time commitment as it is. The camera stuff triples it. Really incredible work.
I just wanna say thanks to folks like yourself, Jayztwocents and GamersNexus among a few others, you've made it relatively painless to finish my very first build yesterday. So, thank you for the entertaining videos like these but all the knowledge you bring to us as well. You are appreciated 🤙🤙
Congrats on your first build.
No matter how many builds I put together, it's always fun and satisfying when you get that first boot.
Between PCDC, PC Building Simulator, and Fix or Flop I was worlds more comfortable building my partner's frankenstein PC last night. I wouldn't have known to clear the CMOS or to pare down all the cables to bare minimum to troubleshoot. I definitely watch the big 3 (LTT, GN and Jayz) But those three definitely helped with comfort more than knowledge from them ever did xD PCDC Also helped with cleaning all the used parts that went into my partners PC c: It was a good time.
@14:56 I knew it! the custom cables! 🤣🤣
You’ve come a far away man, I remember watching you when nobody cared.
You stuck to it, and I’m proud to have watched that journey.
Sometimes I don’t agree with you, but overall you’re cool. Keep it up
You'd think after all that great cable management that they've done that they would try to keep it somewhat clean. Those fans were brutal. Great job Greg!
The music on this one was so relaxing I fell asleep (not bc your videos are boring, I was just tired)
Imagine finding a Reese’s cup in ur pc
I just did a deep clean on my pc, changed out that crappy Wraith Prism and put in a Bequiet Dark Rock Pro 4. Loving how quiet it is and the temps are amazing.
Pure Base 500DX is the same case Greg gave me for the PCDC episode my old rig was featured in. Another gamer added to the team. such a great case, thanks again Greg! awesome video as always!!
The be quiet! Pure Base 500 DX automatically earns a thumbs up from me. Such a great case. Like you said, moving the top fan to the front is clutch. It does also sync up to ARGB software so you can control the LED’s that way.
Fine, fine... You inspired me to do a deep clean yesterday. While not quite as bad as this one, I hadn't even done a simple dusting in well over a year (except the GPU - I was getting a weird pink windows issue for the last month, but dusting and reseating didn't seem to help) so I took everything apart and basically tried to copy what you do here. I did have to reseat the RAM 3 times to get it to post, then tweak my RAM timings to get past the BIOS at all (I was running a slight OC of 2933 on a 3200 kit, due to Ryzen compatibility issues), but once I got into windows, my thermals had improved by a lot more than I was expecting, and, best of all, the pink screen was completely back to normal! Thanks for putting these out there!
I love that case. I used it for a system I built my brother-in-law for xmas last year. So easy to build in, and looks sexy AF when it's all setup
Aaahhh... The Legendary Super GTX970. It still rocks to this day... And no CLEAN... It's even better... I am still rocking one and playing all my games. !!
Maybe you should show before and after results by installing your own SSD with Windows and do a couple of tests. Would like to see if the performance changes and also the temps.
Btw, pressing and holding the led control button on the Pure Base 500DX for about 3 seconds will switch it over to motherboard control, so you aren't limited to the case preset colors and patterns.
Greg top-notch as always- Just wish we had someone like you here for us Canadians. I have an issue w a broken LG ultrawide w the glue and poor quality control - needs some TLC. Thank you 4 the most amazing education AND learning tips :)
I love how dayum organized you always are Greg, makes for a MUCH better cleaning and set up in my opinion,
That one fan at 7:00 was like the magic porridge pot for cotton buds! No matter how much you went at it, the dust just stayed there! Always love these videos Greg, gotta clean my rig next time I'm home ahah
A job very well done Greg; your customers are very lucky to have you in the area. Great work and viewing.
I have some canned air I keep on the bottom shelf of my desk. About once a month, I just tilt my PC to wipe down the underside of the desk after I spray the air to just clear away the dust that naturally accumulates. A couple of minutes a month can save a PC from turning into a breeding ground for various unknown species. And Reese's wrappers.
7:47 nice foreshadowing on what case your going to be upgrading him with 😆.
When he separated the fan from the heat sink, I 100% thought the next thing Greg would do was throw it in the garbage bin lol
happy to see you got the 500dx as a replacer case. I've shoved all my junk into one as well and have been very happy with it, I think your viewer will be happy with it as well.
i bought a 500dx in white and im happy with my purchase
we can say that this PCDC has piece of cake inside!
this series keeps me motivated to dust out my tower on a regular basis
You know, out of all the tech CZcamsrs, your case builds are simply the best! I have a very dusty home so I got a case in 2018 that had full filters (AeroCool Aero-1000), to replace a Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced which would get dusty and weighed a TON! lol (Due to a new medical condition my wife didn't want me lifting the old computer anymore, and made me build a newer, lighter one that I would not have to upgrade for 5 years. To be honest, I like to remove and add on as prices drop.) I need to clean this computer now and was going to take it to a computer store where I used to work to use their air compressor. But seeing how you clean PCs, I would sooooooo drive to you from Louisiana to have you clean it! Looks like I'll be taking everything apart. LOL Great channel, great series, keep it up! (^_^)
So...am I being scammed???!!!
I bought the same BeQuiet 500DX for my first PC build in like 20 years and love it. Great features, great value, and well built. Dawid did a case review recently if you want to find out more!
I just learned something new from this video for when I decide to deep clean my own PC again, something I should've noticed before since I've been watching this series since the beginning: Use alcohol and q-tips to clean the old thermal paste on your CPU BEFORE you remove it from the motherboard, rather than removing the CPU and hoping you don't get old thermal paste and alcohol residue all over your fingers then spread it onto the CPU's pins or connectors... Thank you for this series, Greg :)
I'm not a fan of RGB but this one is looking great. Nice work as always Greg
I was never a big fan of RGB myself, but it turns out I have a thing for *tasteful* RGB. Some fans have sleek lines of light, and I love them.
I don't like RGB as well, it's pointless and waste of money but I don't mind some of it here or there, it can be aesthetically pleasant if it's done right.
Fantastic video. Really like the series. I also have the same case for my son’s PC and it’s really good. Well done!
Pro tip: 1st for cleaning- clear CMOS!
your contents are unique and you are doing great, best wishes for your channel, keep up the good work buddy.
Before reassembling i thought for a sec the motherboard turned green in the end after cleaning, was just ur shirts reflection tho xD
This is a great looking build. Those cables make it really pop inside that case
Job well fine! Nice Greg! Thanks for spreading the word in pcdcing 🤗
Mounting the GPU vertically will fill the empty space below the motherboard quite nicely. That's what I did when I upgraded to a mid-tower case with an mATX motherboard.
Cooler fan blades were clear - WOW!
ill stick with my o11 XL but i do like how quiet that case is and how simple it is
Another excellent production Greg!
Looks brand spanking new. Great job
I have that same duster. Works great. Purchased off of Amazon at a fair price.
Another filthy pc saved by the master! I enjoy all your videos Greg, keep up the generous great work!!! Looked so great👍!!!!!
NGL. The cleaning part of this video is calming and satisfying. Great job Greg & Jeremy!
amazing what a new case can do
Cleaning PCs is my therapy. I love it! More dust the better! 🤣
I love watching your content im from south Africa don't own a gaming pc but it still so cool to watch have a good day and everybody
I went with that be quiet! tower, best purchase for a tower I've done. I bought 2 extra fans (same fans that came in the case) to add some more airflow. It does the job really, really well! The only thing that sometimes get loud is my gpu.
This was a help for me. My prism isn't nearly that bad since I only used it for about 6 months. I wanted to know how to disassemble it to clean mine.
Everything looks so much better in that case, I really dig the color scheme. Another good job!
You done a fantastic job there, really enjoyed watching this video, well done.
Nice!
Hi greg! Your deep cleaning videos and also the fix or flop ones became a routine to watch one of them every night when I have some free time, rly entertaining. Love them!
Greetings from Argentina
Wonderful clean out. 1 thing I would suggest - is the owner maybe consider changing the color of the stripe on the video card from the blue to ( Red ) so it matches the overall theme of the looks.
seeing other people's builds in less than ideal calbe management cases makes me feel better about mine. Mines more or lesson par with this one.
PCDC playlist is so satisfying. You're really building your community. Hope you reach 1M subs soon.
PS: I had almost posted a comment about the cable extensions and then you mentioned it. 😆
You should do follow up videos on the systems you clean and see how they have been looked after a year or so later did they take better care of them or let them get back into the same state.
I like the subtle DC brand shirt on for PCDC lol
Did you say, “Racey Cup wrapper?” 😂
Either way, love the videos. Keep up the good work.
I built my latest PC a few months ago, I'm still watching videos like these because it's so much fun, I'd build computers every day if I had the means.
The DC shirt was a nice touch 😉
cleaned up real nice!
In a case like this with the mATX board in an ATX case an easy fix to hide it could be a vertical GPU bracket. I did that in one of my builds and it works nicely. :)
Greg your videos are always refreshing, appreciate your content man!
Much appreciated!
I have that Bequiet case! Love it!
always look forward to additions to this playlist so theraputic, keep it up!
yay get to see the same mobo i have get deep clean. even same cpu just i have the plain amd black fan one that come with it wish mine had the rgb.
That minute and a half when your AMD processor has to retrain memory......*sweats profusely * lol. Looks amazing!
I really enjoy this PCDC more dirtier PCs to come haha
Got inspired today and cleaned my computer for the first time in a looong time. Awesome videos!
I appreciate it!
same
This playlist is always a bit bittersweet for me. While I enjoy the cleaning montages, I always imagine the PCs Greg spends hours working on possibly ending up just as or even worse than what it was before he began cleaning it once they're returned to their owners.
Right after work. Thank you!
I love this series
I feel like your viewers’ PCs will be putting in random thing in their PCs for you to find as you clean them lmao
Te quiero mucho, me encanga esta serie, me he visto casi todos los episodios y a su vez mr anima a reunir el suficiente dinero y tiempo para tener una pc.
I recommend checking out that 5 in 1 pc brush from amazon, its pretty handy and helps me keep things cleaner.. i keep it right on top of my desk and do a little wipe down on the keyboard and dust off the vents everytime I boot up. Then I pull the panels once a month to dust and wipe things down. Cleaning fans is the worst part and I still haven't found the best tool for those, just paper towels and lots of the alkyhol. Lol..
The cups with something in them. He put them there to bribe the rats, so they wont eat the cables. lol
Again, nice job Greg! I think I would have added a vertical GPU mount to cover all that space at the bottom. I have the tilting mount from EZDIY-FAB and it works beautifully. Allows plenty of space for airflow. I love this series, keep it up sir!!
In my opinon the best case ever.
I’ll always watch when u upload
Fantastic Greg keep the good work up mate.
Hey Greg! whenever you do toss a case out keep the hard drive sleds! those things are so hard to find online by themselves, and they're always so expensive and blue colored :( send them over to me 😂
Honestly the 500DX wouldve been my case. but since i wanted to custom watercool everything i went with a o11 razer edition.
It is so nice and clean but it would also be nice to see a temp before and after.
That was a pretty good one for sure.
im not local orlando im in hudson but love these content just.
Nice job, Greg. That PC looks great after it cleaned.
Did you change your settings Greg? The video looks so much better than usual, it's like the bitrate is higher and I always watch in 1440p. Cheers for the video as usual and hope you'll have an amazing weekend
Big Fan, Love your work, I have been trying to build a gaming PC and It took me to you, I still haven't begin, but you have an admirer now :)
Search for PC Build Guide. I'm sure Greg has a couple on here.
