If I play as solo survivor however, I have people who waste time hiding from the killer while I'm getting chased. Makes my blood boil sometimes lol.

Done. I found myself watching streamers and DbD videos on YT more than actually playing. From past experiences when I found myself doing this, it was usually time to take a break. I was definitely burnt out. Nothing wrong with taking a break. Your happiness and general well-being will greatly improve.

@@javjuegos_8917 they're making it up for killers since they nerfed undying (which tbh it wasn't that bad of a nerf, it's still pretty good) and also Moris, so it's fair to heavily nerf DS and Object. Now object seems more like that perk Jeff has in one of his teachables, but instead there isn't any stacks and it seems like you can see the killers aura if one of his perks can see the survivor's aura like barbecue, nurses, undying, etc.

taking breaks does help a lot, i had been playing this game non-stop for a few months and then i started playing 7 days to die and it was refreshing to do something else for a bit. came back and motivated and had fun playing dbd again.
He immediately assumed that was a killer main talking, and not a survivor main that constantly destroys killers easily. Or God forbid someone that plays both sides equally. Nope. In his mind only a angry killer main can notice how broken survivors are.

8 months later: We're now adding Boon Totems that give survivors extra strength. Also they can pick where the Hex is. Killers don't have enough to do or enough stress as is. Hex Totems killers have are an unfair advantage for survivors.

Nice advice Mr. Cote! Haven't played DbD in months now, but still watching my favorite DbD content creators on CZcams. I was thinking on giving the game another shot when I saw the look and motion change cause it seemed fun, but then I saw the new HUD/UI and the broken hits... Probably gonna wait a few more months or as long as it takes for BHVR to start giving a sh*t for something else than money.
First off. Are you mad a company cares the most about money...? Secondly, if they do something wrong, it will bring in less money. If less money gets brought in, they will fix it to get more money. It's very simple. That's how every company works. So indirectly, carjng about money will give one of the best price-quality possible.

Dead by daylight has REALLY treated the fanbase like crap. Mandy Talks, Peanits, both go around BANNING players from Forums if they don't agree with their message. The company SCAMS players actively and this just shows their TERRIBLE attitude towards customers. We've all talked about OUR frustrations of the game. And SIMPLE changes that could keep the game GOING. Would be nice. But when they have THIS attitude. This is why I have NOT given them money ever again for content.

With this lady event and patch I've been taking this advice and feel wonderful. Playing through Nier Automota for the first time what a masterpiece still lots to still go. Beat the Medium and played a few other games. They're games a mess right now and they have no idea how many people literally don't "need" their game.

To be honest, taking a break works! I took a one month break about a year ago and after I came back it felt great. I did miss pretty much the entire second rift but thats all I missed. I still play with passion but its mostly because if the awesome people i met and the fun i have with friends

i dumped a lot of money into DBD and i stopped playing it for a while because i felt, in any game i played during that time, that i had to win to have fun. i left DBD for a while and i stopped being as stressed at school and life and my grades went up. i am now able to play games like siege without sweating and i can just have fun. I want to go back to this game because a friend of mine just got it but i feel as if its just not worth it. Edit: i was pretty good too. I was a pig main back then. I tried to have a 2vs1 with my friends (this was after i left). instinct kicked when it was my turn to be killer. i killed them both in under 2 minuets. i felt bad for them that they didn't get the right experience. i haven't played since

How is this condescending? I honestly don'y get it... Don't get me wrong, the devs are making mistakes. But this is legit just actual good advice. If you get tired of something, you take a break. Sure it was perfectly valid feedback, but it was still an opinion (which I know back then many people agreed with and many people disagreed with). He's not saying the opinion is wrong. He's not telling the person who asked that he is dumb or anything. He is just saying "if you're tired of it, then don't play it". Tell me if I am missing something that makes it condescending, tho, cuz I would really love to know what I miss here.

People don’t do this much anymore but I’ve gone up against a few Michaels in the last few months that play him like a character. Myers is an icon of horror so it’s no surprise people would try to stay in character and scare the shit out of survivors. Another example is Doctor I main him. But it’s the way I play doctor combined with the scary outfit he has. My doctor has chard burnt skin as well as black reaper clothing and glowing red crystal eyes. I was playing with some purple and green ranks a few days ago. I played very offensively constantly cutting survivors off in chases and loops. I also never made the first move I would constantly counter any moves survivors make. I slowly but surely broke through there defenses weakening there team as a whole. Constantly spreading damage with every opportunity. I would never just walk around and down people. I would inflict as much pain as I could and breaking any hope they had about escaping there screams and there hopelessness filled me with great pleasure. And only then did I hook,mori them. I also intentionally farmed them for bp it was like a game of chess every move I made had a purpose. And I got as much as I could out of each and every survivor. That day I usually got 3ks or 4ks. I got many messages from survivors saying that I was scary and it fills me with great pleasure knowing I did my job well.

Alot of people saying he doesn't care here but I'd like to say I've met Mathieu at Gamescom in Cologne where the team hired out a full pub for fans to have a free three-course meal, drinks, and chat with some of them (the food was amazing lol). But my main point is I spoke to Mathieu in a group and one to one about his history in game development and his passion for Dead by Daylight; and he 100% cares. He says stupid things because he's not got no censor, he's a game developer at heart not a publisher or pitcher. I'm thankful a genuine guy like this is running the place, rather than an EA drone who wouldn't even have a community livestream to say things like this on.

@@DovydasRybakas I know how many players DBD loses. I've been watching DBD going down since 2017. Yet the game has extremely loyal players that keep it alive.
Unless there will be actual competition to Dead by Daylight... You probably won't see DBD dying any time soon. Even though it should.

I rarely play dbd anymore, but it's quite enjoyable to play killer with your friends and pass the controller every game. It makes the game fun when you got people cheering you on, and makes it competitive when they scold you for missing a hit. Regardless I have empathy for the person asking the question.
You know what? I'm glad that I didn't pick up the game. Even seeing good players like Turjay, Potatolegion, and Tru show just how survivor sided the game really is. Hell the sweaty swfs and such act like they are doing amazing things when they use a crutch perk and now the boon totems that make the game stupid unbalanced and broken. So to the Dead By Daylight team: Thank you for ruining your game and hope you learn your lesson, but let's be honest you won't.

He tried, versus a team of super sweaty Asians and they blinded him so many times im surprised he doesn’t have a pair of dark sunglasses and a cane. Funny how after that they nerfed flashlights. You should watch the video it’s absolutely hilarious.

You know, I agree. I have fun playing DbD even when it seems annoying or frustrating, and that's because that's a feature of the game. If people stop playing football when they have body aches, I guess if I'm feeling irritated I should, I don't know, play some Kirby's Dream Course.
I spend over 3k hrs playing this game and absolutely loved it. But since the new animation update they litterly took the fun out if the game for me
