it's amazing how much his sound carries at 3:58 you can still hear it ringing even as he plays the next phrase!

So incredibly musical. I just love his playing. Go listen to the Mahler 3 recording with Abbado from the Lucerne Festival. His solo in the 1st mvt is one of the best recordings of that I've heard. Just gorgeous! He just gets better and better! And the way he moves reminds me so much of a young Scott Hartman, too. ;-)

1:23 When he's got the low winds underneath him on the Db. Oh man. I melted a little on the inside. It was the best thing I've ever heard on trombone. The end of that phrase, right at 1:20 is fantastic. The way the strings come in, and his sound right there are so complimentary. Excellent composition and excellent interpretation/execution.

Before I get my head bitten off, i think he's amazing. I just think the dancing is unusual. If it helped me play like this i'll try it!!!

so, im working on movement I of this piece. Its been really hard for me to play the skips around measure 41 and 42 and just basically going from mid range or low range to high range. What types of excercises do you guys suggest for switching smoothly through the different ranges?

@Seibukan76 who stuck bees down your pants? you took this way too literally and you need to chill out. You're first comment is completely irrelevant because no one (NOT EVEN YOU since you're so keen on insulting me) will be as good as Joe or Jorgen. My first comment never implied that Joe was better. I was just saying that I preferred Joe's Grondahl to Jorgen's. Whenever I practice the Grondahl, I use Joe's recording as reference. Does that mean I don't like Jorgen, OF COURSE NOT! hes great
