    These questions recalled the 1st question of the 1st test in our point set topology class many years ago: list all possible topologies for a set of 3 elements (say X={a,b,c}). The given answer spanned a full page (a website said there are 29).

      He said incorrectly that the first T is not a topology but it is a topology.

    10:44 explanation on {1,2} is an open set, isn't {1,2} a discreet set with 2 non-trivial elements? ]1,2[ makes it look like a continuous interval with open ends.
