ko-fi.com/X8X4... (Pay me money i make videos...no seriously $50 and ill do any punk out there except the big 2)
I suggest the 1994 movie No Escape with Ray Liotta for an example of Islandpunk. Big bad corps own prisons, and the worst criminals just get dropped off on an Island to fend for themselves. Some try to form a community, some are selfish prick warlords like always.
Great series, BTW.
I’ll have to look up that one sounds fun.
that one episode of Tale From The Loop feels like Islandpunk... for the robot in tatters.
If I had a choice, only if I had enough company and could bring enough modern amenities--air conditioning, refrigeration, fire starting tools,, etc.--to live comfortably. If I didn't have a choice, well I wouldn't have a choice would I? Hopefully I can find a hatchet and a knife and immediately level up from 0 to 10.
I’m late to the game on this one but excited. Great as always, Nowhere.
Welcome back brother
what about the 1980 movie the island the one all the decedents of 17th century French pirates set in modern times
an island between Sardinia and Costa Rica??? in Polynesia?? that basically describes the entirety of the wet parts of earth.
Yeah the article I read on him seemed like they were intentionally being vague on where the island was probably a legal thing.
Really great video to watch
Thank you!
or what that one cartoon network cartoon mike lu and Og
The only things I can think of is Final Fantasy 10 and One Piece.
You are not wrong both are very ocean punk
Cool video I have a question is there a punk genre by any chance what is set in the early 60s 1960 to 1963? I'm basically looking for a punk genre that has alien conspiracy theories beatnik Silver age superheroes and spies secret agents and kind of a parody on the red scare paranoia and like JFK look alikes
Sounds like combo of Capepunk and transistor punk while that one’s more Cold War era but had a lot of spies and secret agents walking around.
@@NylasWUP but it doesn't have a name for it? Maybe I can make something out of this how do I necessarily create a genre and more importantly how do I put the word out there I guess?
@@NylasWUP czcams.com/video/T9FLy4cUEnc/video.html by the way as we where talkin i got a idea so i made is very fast
After doing some research I think it is just Transistor punk with superhero or just Capepunk but set in the 60s durring the red scare which still works. As for how to start a new punk genre that CZcams video you made that’s how. Cyber started because people like Gibson and Dicks did their own thing and the world tuned in. So whatever you do go out do it and see if catch fires. A Reddit or tumbler page also helps.
@@NylasWUP thanks I well get to work on it
or how to stuff a stuff a wild bikini or how about WaterWorld
Are you still planning on doing bugpunk? We've been waiting for a year.
I did an update video on this way back but pill form It’s back in the randomizer. When it first came up I immediately put it back in because the corner stone of Bugpunk is the Hurley trilogy and I couldn’t get passed the 5th page of chapter 2 of the first book God’s War. It’ll come up again eventually
@@NylasWUP oh ok.
Recently came across a “lumber punk” meme, is that real?
Don’t think so only thing that came up was an axe throwing place
How about The Mosquito Coast?
Weren’t they just in Mexico not an island?
@@NylasWUP In the movie, it was a remote Caribbean island. So it still technically works within the genre.
Also, thanks for replying. Really enjoy your work. it helps me craft the worlds in my stories.
Np man and yeah maybe I’ve only heard of it never seen the movie.
@@NylasWUP Apparently, its Harrison Ford's favorite of his movies.
I like having access to burgers and movies, so the island life ain’t for me.
