A tip from what happened to me. If a lot of vehicles and remotes may have been programmed to operate your door, you may have maxed out the programming. I kept trying to program my vehicle and then my wife's, and one of them would always not work. I then held in the learn button for 10 seconds until the light went out and erased all codes, started over, then programmed 2 vehicles and a hand held remote with no problems.
Such a quick and easy way to set or change the keypad code. The official way is long and easy to screw up. Our keypad code had stopped working. The battery was fine. I rebooted the current code using this method and everything worked perfectly. Took less than a minute. Our wireless controller and built in car controller continued to work perfectly as before. Sometimes in the past they've needed resetting after resetting the keypad the official multistep way. Great video.

Did not think this would work with my very old Barcol opener and old Security+ pin pad. I found the square yellow learn button and a little light came on after I pushed it. Went to the pin pad, put in the new code, held Enter and the light on the opener flashed off and on. Pressed Enter and the door closed. Magic. 🎉Thank you very much.

Move into a new home in Febr...it's now August. I have been after my husband to program the garage door. Thank you Scott for this simple video. Now I can open my garage door using the keyless entry. Now I have to decide whether to tell my hubby about it or not.

Keypad had worn out on one or more numbers. Great, easy way to reprogram. As door was closed, I took controller off wall and put it at the top of the ladder, while pushing the learn button. No sprint around to the front of the door :-)

HELP! I have an old Wayne Dalton Quantum unit. I bought this house with it already installed, but the keypad never worked. I just replaced the batteries and it lights up now. Ive tried programming the keypad to the unit a few different ways, but nothing is working. Sometimes the keypad would start flashing after inputting only 3 digits and then it would flash like it excepted it but then the code still wouldnt work. It let me enter 5 digits and again flashes like it accepted it and even opened and closed the garage, but if I wait a bit and enter the code to try it, the keypad just flashes at me and wont work. After pushing the learn button, Ive held down the 7/8 9/0 reset button and then entered the code, Ive done it without pushing reset, Ive tried just the code and then also inputting the code and then holding the zero button after to save. And again, using different methods, it would randomly flash to accept, garage door would move but then never permanently save the code. I have a 5 button keypad and found different answers but have tried it doing a 4 and a 5 code.
What would happen if on the side where it’s supposed to blink the light doesn’t work. I tried putting a new lightbulb, but it doesn’t work. I think that part may be broken. What do you think?

been years,,,the garage door remote pad's only supported 4 digit pin code ...can it ever be setup/configured 6 digit or 8 digit pin code at all? gezz!
