Hey tommy thanks for the video, how much songs and what kind of songs do you have in your gala node?
I have a node with community hosting and not a signel sog myself but after running the music node since inception i only made like 24token

Yes, the oldest music nfts produce legacy music tokens. This will come to end once the gala music tokens they have ser aside for this gets fully distributed!

I run it in San Francisco just because of the snoop dogg connections when I set up the VPN! My thinking was that there would be more listeners from this area!✌️

Yes you need to host it on your own computer or on a vps!

Hi Tommy. Thanks for the video. But i got really confused here. You said 48.17 Music token you got in a day and you got the node 2021. How come you have 4247 music tokens as rewards? It should be much more than that as 48 x 30 makes 1440 music monthly. Looks like the amount you have only equal to 3 months reward.
Hi mate, It fluctuates and isnt a fixed amount, Plus it depends how many music tracks you have paired to your node and there is also currently legacy beams being distributed which is bumping up the earnings! I also had some tokens staked on an artist! ✌️

@@tommy8 I think you don't understand what we're dealing with here. Yes, I understand that you're accustomed to speculation, but you need to understand that Gala Music is the end project (business) and needs to be treated as a business. Let's talk business then.
Some stats:
- The music industry is worth approximately $26.2 billion.
- There are approximately 220 million Spotify premium subscribers.
- 15% of the general population in the US are 'Superfans.'
- Superfans are worth $4.2 billion to the music industry.
You need to understand that Gala Music, as a business, will be competing in the same space as Spotify and other music platforms. If Gala manages to bring 1% of Spotify subscribers, that would amount to 2,200,000 users. If 15% of that number are Superfans, that means we're talking about 330,000 monthly people spending, I would guess, around $100 a month in the All Access Store. That would bring monthly revenue of $33,000,000 for Gala artists, node holders, and the Gala project (business).
And on top of that, we will have a speculative aspect of the token. There is a circulating supply of 100 million MUSIC tokens. Let’s say, from that 330,000 active users, 15% will decide to learn and hold MUSIC tokens. That would mean there will be 2,020 tokens in average per account. But there are people like me who won't easily sell their tokens, so you have to presume that 20% of the 100 million will be locked by people like me who understand the market and won’t sell their tokens, knowing that 1% of the overall music streaming industry is just the beginning.
Only a person who doesn’t know anything would sell their tokens on day one of the token release. You people only know bull runs and bear markets. There is more to that than just speculation, especially now when Gala Music is actually competing on the real market. Not quite yet, as they haven’t even started yet. It will be good to see that 1% of market share initially and then to see up to 5% or more.

Don`t get me wrong I am bullish on the future of the gala music ecosystem and I sold 3400 and did keep 1000 tokens staked on an artist experienece!
But since then have earnt nearly 500 tokens from my node and will be earning daily so I was fine with selling some tokens!
I do feel we won`t see the adoption of 1% of spotify users until 2030 time! Even then this is a massive risk as GALA could easily fail and get overtaken by a competitor!
Maybe I get this wrong but when I zoom out and realise that we are still in such a niche environment atm and the average spotify user probably hasnt even heard of Ethereum and will be only using this kind of tech when its all hidden on the back end, the ux will be so easy your over 65 years old people can navigate through it with ease, and then more and more people get accustomed to owning digital assets! (Have a look at my Twitter post of my kids if you wish as this probably defines our future but we will have a long time to transition)
As a crypto and NFT person I`m all about taking profits and trying to succeed in the upcoming bull market but also want to see the projects I`m involved in 100% thrive!
