I had spine surgery a year ago, and this album was what I listened to in the hospital before I was discharged. I went on some WILD medically enhanced dream adventures with this album as the soundtrack.
yeah, I can imagine the journey ;) You've been visiting the ancient cities in the sky.
How're you now Zac?
Freakin' awesome. Hope you are too.
I’ve had 4 spine surgeries so I am not nearly as active as I used to be so this music helps me relax & it takes my mind off my pain.
It’s really awesome.
@@TheZowen88 you know what, you seem like a pretty cool guy zac. Hope you stay freakin great
This is the haven for those people with surreal taste.
M83 makes me feel like i'm an alien being wrongly on earth
Can someone please tell me what happened to them? Are they still together making music? Did they split? Are they on social media please let me know
Oh my God I thought i felt like the only one who felt this way!!! This is like being elevated to another level and nobody understands the complexity of how you function.
This is the theme to the greatest RPG that never existed.
Mario '83
A boss fight of some sort
now lets us make a game based on music... for the sake of this beautiful sound...
Zak kartak exploring this huge new slightly aquatic and myth like place
Fina fantasy retro
Imagine M83 and Hans Zimmer collaborating...that would be epic.
Hmm not sure. People usually say that kind of thing about two steps from hell. And it seems to me that two steps from hell fans dont really listen to m83. They have their own definition of what they call epic music and they have their own epic music community.
@@dreamthedream8929 I listen to two steps from hell, Audiomachine , m83, tony anderson, zimmer, Sleeping at last etc. There is something that connects these guys!
@@foreignbag8861 hmm you might be an exception. In Two Steps from Hell community most people dont listen to m83 as it doesnt belong to what they define as epic music. They listen to other bands similar to that of two steps from hell that also make epic music. They are true epic music fans. They need full orchestral stuff. Nothing else will do.
@@dreamthedream8929 would be EPICO!
collaborating with jaga jazzist.
I remember hearing this album years ago and feeling transported to another world, which I began writing down. I'm still working on that book. I wish there were more albums as enchanting as this one.
Listening this masterpiece in my quarantine
Everything in it's quarantine place.
Can someone please tell me what happened to them? Are they still together making music? Did they split? Are they on social media please let me know
There is something special about dreams. Something that I can never truly grasp while I am awake. A feeling that is hard to describe, and that is almost immediately forgotten each time I open my eyes. Waking up, it immediately feels like some whole different universe has been lost somewhere in the depths of memory. Immediately after waking up, I feel melancholic for even the tiniest glimpse of that world. But waking life goes on and soon I forget about that dream completely. Until one special night, miraculously it is brought back again - just for a same too-short while.
M83's music is the closest I can get to that feeling while awake.
I love this, it feels like promotional music for a video game.
“Travel through uncharted territories... face EPIC bosses... and discover the hidden secrets the universe obtains.” as in-game footage plays in the background😂
@Dirty Duck What an EPIC explanation
@@jamespartee6460 😂😂😜
It kinda reminds me of that calm you get when youre in the early stages of building your empire in an rts. Acrually I totally hear the unmistakable age of empires theme at 4:25
This song at like 5:19 reminds me exactly of the Risk of Rain 2 soundtrack!
Simply sick. It's so good I can feel the fairy tale world on my skin, and my open eyes are the only thing keeping me from slipping into that dimension.
That angelic choir melody around 3:20. Kind of similar to "Mhysa" from Game of Thrones season 3. Really, really freakin good stuff
This sounds like it came straight out of an 80's fantasy movie. It's perfection ⭐️
Good comparison!
LOVE this album. It's like the epic instrumental pieces of the late 70's, early 80's. And distinctive in itself
It’s like taking dmt or tabs and this album is the soundtrack of ur adventure. M83 thank you for making music like this.❤️
One of the best artist alive in my opinion. This insane level of creativity. It’s like a modern Mozart
This is the most incredible album I’ve listened to in years. It seems like a homage to the most famous melodies of all time, summoning the likes of Keith Jarret, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Secede and so many more. The melodies are playful and childish, almost hard to follow at times until, after a few repetitions, your brain begins to make sense of the long and eerie pattern, like a theme song to some timeless civilization in perpetual sunrise, bursting with awesome power. I’ve never experienced the fusion of Sesame Street level goofy vibes progressing into tear-jerking inspiration like I did listening to “Oh Yes You’re There, Everyday”. I would’ve never believed that a person with as much success and fame as M83 could so thoroughly resist the draw of mainstream, digestible tunes to make something so inspiring and experimental and risky. And original! If an AI could fuse the essence of human kind’s musical achievements into one genre, it would sound something like this, only it would lack the particular emotion and soul that made Digital Shades Volume One so brilliant. This is the cutting edge. True genius.
Wow how perfectly put !!
It’s like a soundtrack of Metroid or The Legend Of Zelda, makes my feel in another world!
Exactly what I was getting vibes from the entire time the vocals sounds like it would be from prime 3
The album was recommended to me on the radio some months ago. I don't remember which station, but it was in the Toronto area and someone was praising it a lot. I downloaded it and finally ended up listening just now. Really good light instrumentals throughout, a rare find indeed these days. Glad to see you're gaining popularity too.
Good beginning to an amazing album.
Fascinating as always.
Thanks Anthony💕
This feels like if the OSTs for Dead Cells and Risk of Rain had a baby. It's incredible.
I love it! There is afeeling of adventure, exploration and epicness in this music, and also a deep bittersweet feeling, like a yearning. Especially on the twin guitars.
That's how it makes me feel, it's beautiful.
spot on!!
This has some old Mike Oldfield vibes... Love it!
Best M83 for a while
Thank you for having an amazing taste in music
I loved this animated version, this is my favorite track of this album
I'm wearing my 80's jacket to watch this!
Lmfao 😂😂😂😂
My too! Does your smell? And is it a little tighter than you remember? Maybe I should wash it. Hey! There's a quarter in the pocket!
Out of all the things that could've filled my sub box, I'm glad it's this.
I'll call it what it is.. Truly remarkable music!
OMG ITS AMAZING
Has s bit of that Solar Fields feel to it. It's not just music but a ticket to a different place. Pretty incredible.
As usual ❤️❤️❤️ much support 🤙🤙
M83 ES ARTE PURO!!!
I miss.... It so beautiful. Thank you💙🖤💙🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Sounds amazing at 5 AM
I pray that somebody does a trance, edm, heavy drop mix of this track. I will be forever in their debt! I can nearly imagine it already!!!
Do it
Pretty cool, digging it.
5:19 Audiogasm. Pure, hair standing on end audiogasm.

M83 is something that you don't need to trust because you don't even need to doubt
Master piece
Beautiful
Dope video😜👌
That long intro is hypnotizing ❤️
Modern Principle of lust
The beginning reminds me of Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond Part I".
Same bro
Epic!!
Good intro for an album
Great music

Imagine a M83 and Brian Eno collaboration, that would be epic!
today i find the vinyl at a store i never heard about it i buy it du to the cool jacket and DAMN THAT GOOD!
I love Reunion and Midnight city a lot. This is epic along with asterick
You got everything to make a perfect theme for a 90's cartoon like The mysterious cities of gold here (which had already a supa theme)

I really want M83 old music back. Where you could feel like you were on space, on the M83 Galaxy
I agree...
Also this song could make for a great trance remix!
nice, Keep it up
Blow me away!!
So good. Gives off castlevania vibes
Now this looks like dungeon synth. Nice
superb.
Thats just cool
Superb!
Don't understand why so many people didn't like the intro. I consider it one of M83's most unique yet one of the finest!
This track is so damn different but so damn beautifal. The intro feels very blade-runner-esque and ominous, and the main track feels... almost like galloping on horseback through iberian hills.
@@lsedge7280 yup. Many Blade Runner vibes in this one.
I listened to it first while in bed. It did a good job of slowly transitioning me to another world.
underrated
That's the things with lots of their albums. They have that strange(and
awesome) style that you don't really like the albums at the beginning
and after few listens you think it's really freaking awesome. This
mechanism is called "acquired taste", you can compare it to not liking
liquorice, but after few times you try it, you love it(that happened to
me) - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acquired_taste
Listening to them reminds me of Tangerine Dream ♥
Epic
ESTO ES COMPLETAMENTE EXQUISITO
The end of this first song feels like something you’d hear during the final boss fight in a final fantasy game where you’re fighting god

I love you when im flying, i love you when I'm cruising
After their last album.... This is a fucking masterpiece
At 3:20 I started thinking I was in the desert with the good bad and ugly characters, walking down the street holstered up, the wind and dust blowing my hair, my woven poncho flapping in the wind as I come to stand poised with my trigger finger twitching, staring at everyone with the look of death. The intense calm stare off before the storm rains down hell..... Then the song ended.
NOTIFICATION GANG
Dear Extazus,
It would be pleasing to have a short film for this song or at least a written narrative.
synthwave meets medieval
( hans Zimmer , zack hemsey , m83 ) they're angels
30 seconds of silence.
Imagine... Diune movie with that kind of music...
Best trip for LSD
This is a perfect music for an indie game
Listen to the Risk of Rain soundtrack, reminds me a lot of that.
@@Eskinor yes, some tracks of this game sounds a little similar
Yay music
So inspiring it can rise the dead amen!!
Music is sound/frequency. Which is everything/everywhere else too. With the right frequency/note you can break glass. With the right frequency you can break down cancer cells. With the right frequency you can move objects (and if you think about dancing and mosh pits; people). So if we can break down cells and glass, and demolish a building by causing vibrations in the steel beams,...who knows how big an object we could move with the proper frequency output.
In Hitlers time they say he had music rerecorded and put out to agitate people, making them volatile. Governments now, have a weapon that through frequency, when aimed at a large group of people can cause their skin to burn so they disperse.
ANYWAY, this album sounds and feels different. They say music never went back to its original form. Maybe these guys figured it out and flipped it.
👽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Play the last minute of Solitude from Junk over the first minute of this song, now that's a buildup
Is there any albums or songs similar to this masterpiece?
I love you
