aww man. i didn't know about this, and I surely won't Google what happened. it's just sad how much life can get its middle finger in your face, even on youtube
Thanks for the upload. I wish this was the original full version. If you notice after Flares performance 2:33:30 it fades out to Q performing some kutz. There was a Q and A session with Q and D that was edited out. I think I have the original with the session in there. Thank you Jazz Funk for all these tablist vids.
the scratch perverts routine was very ahead of its time...they totally flipped the game at this performance.. always about innovating. pretty dope for back then
The phrase or lyric cutting technique was common on bootleg recordings remixes or edits eg. Double dee & steinski lessons ., Superfly meets the shaft ,Streetsounds electro compilation albums & many of the latin rascal edits.. The earliest DJ routine with phrase , lyric cutting is Jazzy Jeff v Whiz Kid in 1986 watch?v=Ic0KulPu9xw Dj Noize expanded the technique & made it into a conversation with multiple records..But he never pioneered it...
Uhhh... at 2:00:49, where is this QBert 1992 DMC World Champ performance? I thought they didn't have a competition that year and merged the 92-93 title.
It was the first year Teams were allowed. They won as the team. The 92 US Finals is on CZcams somewhere. 93 it was Qbert and MixMaster Mike as the Dream Team. 93 US finals are also on CZcams
For the Record. DJ RAEDAWN invented Skratch Notation in 1999 with his 8 page book called "The Fundamentals" then he droppd a followup book called "TTM 1.0" in feb of 2000. Then he gave the worlds first lecture on the subject in spring of 2000. Skratchcon2000 happend that summer. Both Dj Radar and A-Trak Claimed to have Invented Skratch notation...Atrak plagiarized Raedawns notation and said he made it in the 90's with no proof...A female musician in the crowd calld Radar out for being off.
I can hear the phunk in what is trying to be achieved. But I still lean towards dance ability. Sometimes it is to technical. Also I understand the point of the technical side, but this video was not so much about a mixed cd. (ie. Dj Premier) But more the art of it. but on the same token. Some times it sounds to much like the record is skipping. And that my friends is a different story to debate. I dunno. with out these guys we wouldn't have the different scratches as well. Bitter sweet symphony. But good documentary.
I have no idea if Mista Sinista is really a sinister guy, but he's definitely a bad ass on them there turntables! Just like all the other dj's. Peace everyone!
I felt for Aladdin he was probably going through something. Getting out of jail is hard on the mind. You can tell that he has serious training even though his moves are sloppy. His 1989 performances are super sick and I have no doubt he could perform those routines again if he were in-practice and sober.
These dj's is tryng to expains what came out of PHILADELPHIA THAT'S WHY WE HAVE THE BEST KNOWN DJ'S SINCE THE BEGIING. JEFF CASH AND MIX BEAT ALL THESE DUDES. HIPP HOP STARTED IN NY. THEY ALWAYS HAD THE MC's but PHILADELPHIA HAS AND WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE BEST DJ's. Tthis teaching technich is a disrespect to all crafted DJ FROM THE 70 AND 80 MY ERRA. ......GOD BLESS CASH MONEY
I would chop allied up on the wheels. I have been doing this since 1982. Now my ID Now my my OG. CASH MONEY DO YOUR THING. GRANS WIZZARD RASHEED TOLD ME TO TRAVEL AND SPIND WITH CASH MONEY NO BULLSHIT. SPING OUT CASH
They were too shook to invite Ricci Rucker aka Alias_ aka Nicks to this event. They knew he was way better than them and threatened Yoga Frogs branding program.
Yes. It didn't matter. He had a tough life after battling and touring. We probably will never see a show like this ever again unless if Q and Thudrumble do a 20 year anniv. to Skratchcon. One love.
ok, you close lost me at "thank the sponsor Prokter and gamble"... these are the Bad ones, why don´t you use like, Ben and Jerries etc... good companies?!

As legendary as his DMC USA performance was and his past abilities, at 3:25:45, Aladdin was an embarrassment.
Haha 😂 Apparently he’d been drinking that day & was totally wasted!

Who let the crackhead on the turntables near the end. Damn. He violated the wheels of steel.
DJ Aladdin or not..........embarrassing.
They were too shook to invite Ricci Rucker aka Alias_ aka Nicks to this event. They knew he was way better than them and threatened Yoga Frogs branding program.
Sux
No disrespect, but is DJ Alladin drunk? Man, what a horrible performance by him. Thanks for the documentary btw.
Yes. It didn't matter. He had a tough life after battling and touring. We probably will never see a show like this ever again unless if Q and Thudrumble do a 20 year anniv. to Skratchcon. One love.
