- In today’s job we had a pool that hadn’t been used or even looked at for over a year. A good few hours work and we got it looking as good as new! The results are amazing!

@Mr.Sloth yeah! I love swimming! I live in Iowa though so I only get a good 3-4 months before it gets too cold, and I would definitely go swimming every day haha.

It's surprising how clean some of the tiles are under that sludge, an amazing transformation so good to watch. I can't believe people have these pools and don't use them or look after them.
right if I had one I'd always use it and take care of it
I find it hard to believe the times aren’t loose and falling out!
makes sense. unlike concrete they arent somewhat porous and dont get the gunk ground into them.
On the whole it’s not a very dirty pool, with only a year.
My guess is they bought the house and they thought things would just be okay without maintenance and the electricity costs of the pump, if they weren’t using it. Until one day they looked outside…

A pool is usually always "salvageable" and can always be cleaned, if the issue is just algae and plant matter like this. It's only when the surface material of the pool gets damaged that it's no longer usable.
For instance, a pool that has a liner that gets ripped will have to be replaced, or a pool that has tiles that get cracked will need to be replaced, but if it's just dirty it can always be cleaned.
Needed the surrounding black edging cleaning, looked half finished without that done.

They’re made of some type of granite so have a funny look like they’re not cleaned by I think they are.

6:20 I used to be a pool boy when I was a teen, the worst with these clean-outs/acid washes was finding dead animals at the bottom of the pool once the water was out 🤮🤮🤮

Don't understand how so many people are being disrespectful for this guy making videos out of his job. Mans out here grinding and has found a way of having his own fun while doing it. Are tile pools pretty common in the UK? The majority of pools in my area are plaster/pebble. In Phoenix, Az if your pool turns green like that, the city will fine you. Gets attached to your water bill so there is no avoiding it. Genius, if you ask me. Good work, gents!

I don't know the weather in the UK, but I grew up in Maryland, and we had to close our pool every year, the pool man had to empty the lines so they wouldn't freeze. We aren't even that cold in the winter and the lines were about 2 feet below the ground.
