2025 Lexus ES rendered with EV-focused new look

Lexus naturally follows with a new Camry-based ES sedan since a new-generation Toyota Camry is on its way.
With Toyota's new-generation 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid system-seen in the new Camry-possibly with the option of all-wheel-drive, and maybe even a battery electric set-up or two, expected to enter the worldwide market next year sometime.
With the "e" suffix usually marking the existence of a BEV powertrain on other Lexus cars, i.e. the Lexus UX300e, the latter theory marks from the recent submission of two new trademark applications both here (IP Australia) and abroad for the "ES350e" and "ES500e nameplates.
Though details are few for now, chances are the 500e system will be a flagship dual-motor opposed to the 350e's front-drive volume seller positioning akin to the 350h and 500h hybrid powertrains offered in other vehicles.Given the total 230kW of the present RZ 450e from its dual-motor powertrain, we anticipate the ES500e will provide more than 250kW and act as the undeniable portfolio flagship; the single-motor ES350e will probably yield less than 200kW.
Given that it hardly appears like a Lexus at all, one would expect the initial high-level renders of the new ES to show a significantly different exterior design than both the current model and the new Camry.
Rather, Kolesa.RU's new ES, derived from a past idea, seems like a Chinese EV meant to suck sales off the Camry.
The model's logical search for a low drag coefficient is hinted at by narrow features and a mostly enclosed front fascia, which would make it rather simple for the ordinary shopper to mistake it for something different.Though the Camry's main lines still show down the flanks of the body and toward the rear, their once clear relationship is mostly lost behind the cover of that new front end.
Little more than some tiny slots at the top and bottom of the front bumper, framed by a pair or air curtains at either end, now define the trademark Lexus mesh and or honeycomb grille.
