  • An in depth look at how Splash Mountain in Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland are different.
    Splash may be no more in Disneyland and Walt Disney world, But it is still a great time to take a look at all the cool changes between the 3 thrilling attractions.
    The data on the Splash Mountain rides from the Disneyland, Disney world, and Tokyo Disneyland universes have been analyzed and corelated between each other. This data is to be presented to the cartographers to aid in mapping the parallel dimensions so that they can be distinguished from each other beyond a doubt. This is essential for safe and precise dimensional travel and will ensure that another mishap will be avoided.
    Update... Some bright analysists have informed me that there are three alligators, and three possums in all three dimensions when the ride is operating at 100% sorry for missing this important detail. there is also a road runner in Disney world, • Splash Mountain front ... at 5:12 will get you a good look at it. I should have scrutinized more sources and been more through. Thanks to gator_joie and Philip kipple. an additional feature missed is that there is normally a turtle next to Brer Rabbet in Disneyland when he first leaves his home. • SPLASH MOUNTAIN FULL R... at 3:20 will give a good look as well.

    The gators are a trio in all three versions. Just one seems to be missing in DL and Tokyo DL, most likely getting maintenance.

      I put a note in the description and have this pinned in the comments. I don't think I'll take down, don't want to lose the comments and other selfish reasons. If more flaws are found and good details I have not mentioned are brought to my attention in the comments I can post an update. I know this is a half measure and I hope it is not too disappointing.

    After seeing this comparison, what I love about the WDW version is that because it isn't already set in Critter Country, it has to ease you into the fantasy critter world from the Frontierland aesthetic. There are more mandmade structures and more realistic rock work around the exterior of the mountain and the queue, but the trip around the the top of the mountain begins to blend the aesthetics until you enter the show building. The saturated colors like the lavender trees and the bright blue sky in the background make the WDW version feel even more like you are in a cartoon realm. Returning to the load platform in WDW also feels like you've been abruptly pulled back to reality from a dream state because you have to return to the realistic Frontierland whereas the critter elements are free to continue in Anaheim and especially Tokyo.

    Disneyland will always be the best for me. The animatronics might be older but there are more of them and it makes the scenes feel more alive. Plus the scene after laughing place with the mothers warning their children seems to be missing in the other versions. WDW and TRD just don’t tell the story as well. Personally I prefer the DL soundtrack.

    The building of Splash Mountain is based on Georgia's landmark and Georgia's red clay. In California, the building has reddish Georgia style red clay color whereas Magic Kingdom and Tokyo's, the building is colored like Big Thunder/Bryce Canyon to make a perfect blend of western themed locations.

    This is an excellent video, thanks for all your work. Not to take anything away, but there are a few very minor details you neglected for Tokyo, like a bee being on Br'er Fox's nose before the Laughin' Place and the tiny houses and tables in the outdoor portion before Zip-a-Dee-Do-Dah which are not seen in any other version. There's also audio in the Tokyo queue right before the owl animatronic of little owls asking the grandpa owl to tell them the story of Splash Mountain. Lastly I think the famous "FSU!" mole is worth mentioning, he is in WDW and TDL but not DL

    25:20 fun fact: the box to the left of this wall is actually a screen that used to show the onride photo in a similar fashion as at disneyland, but it would often show the wrong photo to the wrong log, so they didn't use it

  • @SirBuzz
    @SirBuzz Před 6 dny

    Excellent video and I don't blame you for missing some details here and there. The only major detail you didn't stress enough was the soundtrack differences. The Disneyland version uses a more traditional musical approach while WDW and Tokyo both use the same songs but in a bluegrass style that, in my opinion, suit the attraction better.

  • @Delaney-and-the-Starlight

    Thank you for this wonderful treat of a video!
    Like, I just love this type of Disney park analysis so dang much. I get warm feelings in my heart for just this!
    I will die of happiness if you do Haunted Mansion! 💕
    Disappointed to know that the Tokyo queue is another loading line mostly in one room. I remember being in the big room for Tokyo Disney SEA’s Indiana Jones and you just stayed for most of the time in the one big room vs Disneyland which makes a longer line such a treat.... even though Disneyland has that big area, wherever you are in it feels so different! Trying to think if Tokyo likes doing that for anything else? I didn’t get to stay long enough to see all of Tokyo Disney.

    In my opinion Disneyland takes the cake on splash mountain… before watching this video I really thought my opinion would not be that. Although Disneylands lighting and cartoon colors in the landscape being it together… also the finale with the dip a dee lady is big and has lots of action… although in WDW it has small and seems to have weird carnival lights on it… wasn’t fond of the Tokyo boat color palette either… kinda made me queasy lol… 💦🪵
