    0:00 - Intro
    BAD
    0:27 - Price
So here’s the thing, on paper, and at starting, the Tremor starts at like 16k less than a Raptor, which is a big difference
HOWEVER, as tested this truck is optioned up to 74k, which is like 13k over starting and is dangerously close to Raptor money
So I went on Ford’s website, and specced out a Raptor in a VERY similar way to what we have here and it was less than 10k more
    1:08 - The Engine
Let me just say, i love V8s, I love the 5-0 coyote here, and I love the sound you gfet with this V8 here
HOWEVER, when you really look at it on paper, it’s objectively the worse choice - because the Ecoboost 3.5 V6 is a no-cost option and with the EcoBoost you get 40 more HP, 80 more lbft, almost 1,000 more ls of towing, AND beter fuel economy
    -
    GOOD:
    1:53 - The Offroad stuff
The Tremor package is the Raptor-Lite package, and with it comes some really nice offroad features
First of all, as you’d expect, every Tremor come standard with 4x4
But you Also get an extra inch and a half lift in back and an inch in front
    Clearance just under 11 inches
You still get leaf springs in the back versus the 5-link in the raptor BUT you get tremor specific shocks and they’re pretty dang good
    You get skid plates
You get recovery hooks front and rear
You get General Grabber A/T tires
Which are awesome, quiet, and good in the wet
    You get a rear locker
    You get trail control
    You get trail cameras
And you get trail turn assist, but try not to use it too much as it’s hard on your diff
And you also get the 6 overhead toggles for auxiliary accessories, just like the Raptor
    2:48 - The Tremor Gold
The tremor get’s a unique color dedicated exclusively for this trim, and it’s this really cool gold..and it’s everywhere
    3:22 - The Tech
This Tremor here is stuffed with tech features that are all really nice and helpful
You’ve got vivid 360 cameras to help with trailering and offroading
You’v got your trailering assists here
    Wireless ACP
Pro Power is still one of my FAVORITE things ever
Here you get up to 2kW output, same as the raptor
    Zone lighting - 4 zones
    Blue Cruise
Huge infotainment screen with dual things on screen
Fully digital cluster is really nice
And finally, you have really nice B&O audio
    4:09 - Truck Stuff
This Tremor isn’t just good offroad, but you of course have one of the most practical appliances out there underpinning it
Here with the V8 engine you get 10,000 lbs towing
    You get 1885 lbs payload
But you still have Pro Power
Oh, and all tremors are the super crew with 5.5 ft bed
You’ve got raptor running boards but they Ford and not raptor
And there’s a host of other things we’ve already mentioned like Zone lighting etc.
    4:54 - The drive
Remember how I said, you gotta really like V8 sound to justify the V8 here?
Well yeah it sounds pretty awesome
You have more Raptor style exhausts than normal F150
Also, I mentioned that the Tremor gets the leaf springs every other F150 rather than the multi-link in the Raptor
However, the shocks here are tuned really well
You’ve got nice travel with a supple ride
The cabin is nice and quiet
    The engine gives great power
    400 hp
    410 lbft
The 10 speed isn’t my favorite here, i miss the paddle shifters fr omthe Raptor, but if you drive it like a normal person it’s mostly fine
Ultimately, it may not be Raptor smooth here, but it’s probably top 3 - nice job Ford
    5:56 - The Luxuries
This may be a pickup truck, but it’s got some really nice stuff in here
    Heated and cooled seats
    Heated steering wheel
    Heated rear seats
    Pano roof option
    And blue cruise
    And wireless car play
I mean, if luxury is convenience, this is a very luxurious ride
    6:20 - Looks cool
I’ve always liked this gen of F150 and I like it even more with this sweet avalanche paint
    6:55 - Rear seats
And finally we’ll talk rear cabin practicality
The rear seats are WILDLY spacious
    The seats are comfortable
    They’re heated
You’ve got a huge flat floor
    Chargers, seat pockets, cupholders, vents
Ands you’ve got that pano roof option to bring in light to it all

It hits high points for work, "truck stuff" like towing, super comfortable for the family on trips and keeps up with friends toys off-road. 3.5 eco boost is no slouch (passes most vehicles without breaking a sweat in 'eco mode' on the highway) and I agree with your comment about choosing 3.5 or 5.0 is purely a test of whether or not you're ready to be a 'grown up' :)

I would take the 5.0. The 3.5 Ecoboost is much more problematic in my experience and I have owned 3. I drive defensively and conservatively so if there is a 40 hp difference it would make much difference to me. Also, if I'm getting close to maxing out the truck for towing I think I need to be in a bigger truck. I tow a lot. Cargo trailers flat beds, heavy equipment.... With that said, I do think the 3.5 is a very good engine as long as it holds up.

Totally incorrect on engines, stock the 5.0L is 20 more horsepower than the EcoBoost. It’s a flex fuel engine and E-85 capable, and makes 420 on E-85. Unless you tune the EcoBoost and void your warranty it can’t make the same horsepower as the V8. Both make 400 horsepower on premium.

-Then there's a 90% it saves you in emissions.
-Then there is the fact that the 5.0L can easily fit a front hidden winch!

Don't forget, with the 5.0L you can add either the Ford Performance (Whipple 3.0L) or the Roush (Eaton 2.65L) supercharger kit, either of which comes with a 36 mon/36k mile powertrain warranty. Ford Performance also has a version of their SC kit that works with the dual alternators that come with Pro Power Onboard. The Roush kit will not work with Pro Power Onboard. The Ford kit bumps the output to 700 HP and 590 LB FT while the Roush kit has 705 HP and 635 LB FT. Can't get there with the EB, at least not with a warranty.
I just bought a new 2023 Tremor with the 5.0L and Pro Power Onboard along with a boatload of other options for less than MSRP. Can you guess what one of the first mods will be?

Without the supercharger the 3.5 is faster and can tow better. The 5.0 is designed for the Mustang. High revving low torque motor. The 3.5 has 100 more torque . If you’re buying for a show truck the 5.0 is ok. If it’s a working truck then the 3.5 is a better motor. You need to change the oil more but there a reason Toyota went to the 3.5 twin turbo. The 5.0 is not a good choice for a truck. If you want the coyote buy a mustang that’s the proper application
According to my Ford dealer mechanics the 2nd gen 3.5 is every bit as reliable as the 5.0

I love the look of the raptor, and that buttery smooth drive of its rear five link coil suspension, but I am concerned about the width of the tires washing me around from side to side in tracks made for more narrow standard vehicles, from trails to highway tracks in deep snow between lanes during big snowstorms, and the Tremor is basically the standard width maybe an inch or two wider so fine. Kind of like the Raptor is an open space runner and the Tremor is a trail runner. So I'm torn. Any thoughts on that? I'm also considering a loaded Platinum with the fx4 and some mods like a lift and offset, to get those luxury seats for the long highway drives. Any thoughts on that? Wish I could get the Raptor's 5 link rear suspension and the Platinum's max luxury massaging, reclining seats all in the Tremor. Round and round. Help.

I'm not too sure about the HP claim for the V-6. I think they are essentially the same for 2023. The twin-turbo does have the torque advantage though. I chose the coyote with the intention of supercharging it. After getting 20+ mpg combined over a few thousand miles, I am dealing with a conundrum. I'm getting better mpg than anyone I know with the twin turbo (calculated mpg, not what the truck says).
I bought the truck for the off-road goodies (Torsen) and (to a lesser extent) as a protest to Toyota removing tow hooks this year and still not having a Tundra rear locker (and dropping a very reliable but gas thirsty V-8) because this will eventually be a work truck. My biggest complaint with the Tremor so far is occasional CPU glitches. I started it up one day and it sounded like it was running on 3 cylinders. I turned it off and when I started it again, everything was fine. Oh, the other issue was that while driving on the highway last week the collision alarm went off with not even a grasshopper within a 100 yards. Peace, Love!!

The price comparison is an irrelevant factor in my opinion as it only weighs on folks that don’t understand the two trucks.
Even if they were the same price as optioned, folks needing tow capacity equipped daily driver will likely still gravitate to the Tremor, where as true off-road fans will need to give up some of that for the off-road capabilities offered by the Raptor.
In this sense they’re two different vehicles more so than two different trim levels as the price comparison implies.

Of course, but Tremor is like what 30k less than raptor? I would say next best thing to it

WRONG! The Raptor is an open front diff from 2023 onward. Prior Gen 3 (MY 21 and 22), front was Torsen as was previous Gen 2 Raptors, no locking front diff ever on Raptor (i dn't know about Gen 1). Tremor has a Torsen option, Raptor does not, only open diff.

The horsepower is the same, 400 and 400. 3.5 or 5.0. You are talking 5.0 Tremor vs 3.5 Raptor, 400 vs 450. If you make a video...know your numbers or shut up. If you don't know... what is the review for???

@@dogshmog Not like my Whiiple supercharged 5.0... My 2023 F150 is at 800 horsepower and way faster than my buddies 2023 Raptor... just saying. I am a retired Ford Senior Master tech, and hate the 3.5 issues even though I realize it is amazingly powerful and was thrilled when it came out. I would hate to work on one. I have a 2023 5.0 Platinum with the blower for my street hot rod truck, and a 2023 5.0 Tremor for my daily driver. With E85 Livernoise tune and exhaust, 465+ horse power, and doesn't sound like it has a corn cobb stuck up it's ass. I just love that V8 sound. Cannot be matched. To each there own, but my trucks do not go back to the dealer, I repair them. You can keep the Eco boost. I can share pics of my trucks if you need verification and yes, I installed my blower myself.
