(And similarly, some things Italian and French are best left to Italians and French). That said, if you enjoy Handel’s English oratorios sung by Germans, or the operas of Wagner sung by English groups, that’s a personal choice and no business of mine. Samson of course is an oratorio, not an ‘opera’ as suggested by @warjacare.
This was the most wonderful performance of the Samson Oratorio that I have ever seen. Superb, superb performance!
And just a word on the use of the soloists in the chorus... sublime!

The Vaclav Luks version of Messiah (CZcams name: "G. F. Handel: Messiah HWV 56 (fantastic performance)") is pretty awesome IMO.
