Guys - I just wanted to say "Bravo". I critique percussion performances for a living and this video really stands out for me. It's about as close to perfect as I can imagine anyone getting. The more I listened , the more I could find nothing but great stuff to say. You guys just absolutely nailed it!
You guys are masters. I am a nut for percussion and have a huge collection so to see you two doing stuff like this is beyond inspiring.

What marimba mallets are you using? Great performance by the way!
Artisan series I believe
NJZ 2 in the bass and NJZ3'S for the top voices. These mallets were discontinued by Innovative Percussion a few years back but there's a company called schlagkraft that has started making them again.
What vibe mallets are those?
Those are the Innovative Jerry Tachoirs, but they are very very played in and you would never get them these hard new. I also use the Jim Ancona vibe series for this piece - they are heavy but give such a big sound.
