The procedure is not bad, I’ve done it to replace timing and water pump. This will be also a good time to replace the bumper support brackets on top of the crash (had to replace one on mine) and replace the loose rivets on the horn with bolt and nut.

With my 2003 B6 1.8T, we moved the front a bit forward by loosening it like you did and the two vertical bolts in the front frame.
Is there a certain mileage around which you should swap your chain, my A5 2.0 tfsi has one and it got renewed during the rebuild 150k miles ago.

Hey, are you aware of any specific changes between the ccta and the caeb engine block?
From my understanding, the CCTA is a EA888.1 engine and the CAEB is a EA888.2 engine, and they have different balance shafts, but are there any other block changes? (not referring to the cylinder head, strictly wondering about the block)
    Thanks

Naptown! Big fan of your 2.0videos
I got a 2011 2.0L avant 132k. Just had a new Engine put in the old one had bent valve covers and lots of oil caked up. New engine showing p2229 any ideas?
I am replacing the gas cap to get a better seal then looking at sensors. Thanks

I watched most of your videos on 2.0 tfsi. I just started tearing down mine 2.0 due to timing issue. After removing exhaust cam, and wiping it down for inspection spring and steel ball fall out. I was able to find spring but not the ball. Any chance you have a ball I can purchase from you? I hope you have toasted exhaust cam you can sell me a steel ball from it. Thank you.

Shows how much you know when you can do the work with one hand and film with the other.
Why the HF Hercules and not the go to Milwaukee?

I have a 07 B7 Quattro with 205k. Needs a head job as it has a burnt exhaust valve. Do you think it’s worth doing it Naptowntuner?? I’ve done it before on lower mileage ones. I don’t know if this one it’s worth the time and the ROI. Im debating on scrapping it lol.
