I used to play this until the sun came up during my summer breaks from school when I was younger. I have the best memories with this game, hearing this makes me so emotional.
When I made this comment I was going through an incredibly hard time. But now, a couple of years later, I have moved away from my toxic childhood home, and while I sit on my couch with my fiancé and my cat, we are all playing this game together. :) Happy that this game is one of the constants in my life. ❤️

It's criminal that this game has not been brought to Xbox and PS4/5 via PS2 to PS4 and Xbox backwards compatibility. I logged so many hours of the Sims 1 and 2 back on PS2. The soundtrack of the first two Sims games were something else.
I played this on my GameCube so very much and remember I used to leave the game at the main menu for a very long time just to hear this theme song accompanied by the seagull sounds and the passing of the spaceship. Not to mention I had to buy a 256mb Memory Card just to save in this version 🤣. The memories will keep coming back no matter what as this song is stuck in my head forever. Thank you for making me remember those childhood memories. Kudos.

I'm glad they went with a different soundtrack for the console versions. The day I finally got a PC and a PC copy just so I could do more the music just felt so wrong and bland.
Well the game originally would be the Urbz 2, but they canceled the game to make Sims 2 instead, and like the Urbz is from the City, they put only the Sims 2 Nightlife Expansion, I think it came in the same year too.
Somewhere in Rockwell Acress, Felicity and Ossie are waiting yet again for a new room mate.
