Quick unboxing, testing and 1st impression of Magene L508 light radar. Rode 60kms last weekend to test the accuracy and battery life of the Magene radar. conclusion- it's definitely a must have for me as I cycle on busy roads in Singapore making me more protected and safe on the roads.

Just fyi, in Singapore, lane 1 starts from the right most lane. If its the road has 3 lanes, the left most lane is lane 3.

Type C doesn't mean fast charging, for fast charging you need a similar charing IC on both the provider and reciever end to enable higher voltage.

From my expwrience, It's the other way around. You can only swith off the light and still manage to get the radar functioning.

i can get the varia now for 150€ in almost every store because of the newest light they released, and the magene is 140€, its almost the same price, magene as to upgrade their price if they want people to keep buying

Got the magene at a good deal EUR 85 in SG. Not sure how much magene sells in EU... so still half the price.

How sensitive is it to detect bicycle coming from behind? Is it like 8 out of 10 times can detect? what about bicycle or vehicle travelling the same speed as you from behind. will it show green after a while of following you?

For biycles not much. For vehicles and motor bikes riding on faster speed...clearly detected.
