  • Our trip continues through Lesotho - traveling from Thaba-Tseka to Katse Dam. We wild camped here, a few kilometers from the dam. It was a beautiful spot surrounded by water and corn fields.
The next day we traveled to Marakabei Lodge. We had the braai area for ourselves, wood, and clean bathrooms to use. The lodge dog and the cat kept us entertained while we enjoyed a rainy but lovely night's stay.
The next day we drove over the Mohale Dam. Clear skies made flying the drone possible, and capturing that view while we went over was STUNNING.
After a picnic next to the Jordan River and a wrong turn over a beautiful mountain pass, we finally made it to our 19th camp spot at Maluti Stay Lodge. In episode six, we head out to our final destination in Lesotho - SEMONKONG.

Wow what a great place - thanks for showing us. We visited South Africa several time and came close to Lesotho twice - so we want to go there some time. Thanks for this great video. :-)

The wild camp spot just a few kilometers from Katse Dam, was definitely a highlight. You can find the exact location on the iOverlander App.

Thank you so much for watching!
We did feel safe, although the locals love to hang around camp for a bit. Just be on the lookout for groups of young kids. We unfortunately encountered a group wanting to throw our car with rocks because we didn't want to give them sweeties. Luckily, we got away.

Hectic! That's quite radical from them just for some sweets 😂 @@ForThisLife
