    Wow! Lots of it, too!

I might have used a bit too much tape on that parcel mate, sorry.
My dad brought it 1970, so the price is at one and will look something like 7/6/9. The first number is pounds, the next shillings, and the final is pennies, I have forgotten how much it was.
But it has never been used, so all the parts are ‘new’.
The wheel plate (part # 24a) that has been clipped is a miss strike, so it came from the factory like that.
The look on your face was great though, I hope you enjoy and get some great builds from it.
And thank you for the shout out.

Haha, one roll too many was all. I'd rather have it that way than lose the parts though!
I'm a pretty lucky guy to get this and these parts will be very well taken care of as I'm looking after them. I was wondering about the clipped wheel plate. Very interesting. I figured it was modified by whoever used it last. Neat.
I think I'll take a back seat to the collecting now, and focus purely on building out some cool models. I've had so many cool ideas come to mind the last 2 years and I'm excited to use parts. Thanks again!

That's a great haul, good on the Ginger Christmas fairy!
Potentially the rarest thing in there is the packaging for the accessory set. Meccano metal pieces tend to survive, but cardboard is a lot more fragile. Make sure to keep that somewhere safe.
Have you parts checked against a set list at all yet? I think you have probably got a full 70s set 8 by now, if not a set 9.

I had a feeling about the packaging! Yes, it's put away safely. I couldn't believe how well of shape some of these pieces were! I'm almost certain I've got a set 8 or 9, but I'm still intent on just building my own ideas. I'm stubborn that way. Will get back to you on that one.
