Aharon Barak was asked by a Gentile interviewer why the State of Israel does not employ an updated version of Jewish Law. He asked why the State of Israel is a hodge-podge of Ottoman, British and American law. Even the non-Jewish interviewer, as a jurist and someone raised in a Christian country, thought it strange that the People who brought the world the most Human codex of laws the world has ever produced doesn't employ it in their own state. Jewish Law was the inspiration of every Humane law devised in the Western world.Aharon Barak's mendacious reply was that the Jewish People don't want that. In truth, we were never consulted and it was never the intention of the self-hating Jews who run this state to ever consider such a thing. That is precisely what we do want.
