- Main Station for Las Vegas Fire Rescue, responding to a structure fire: 2 engines 1 truck and Battalion Chief vehicle.
Thank you to all Valley Firefighters!!! PS: correction from video, NOT a full response.
Please check out my other channel BAdiscovery. • Video - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I know some people view this as a slow response, if you listen at the beginning of the video to the dispatch tones, no station 1 units are on the response, it’s not until around 1:24 that you hear a firefighter use the station PA to let everyone know the call is down the street from the station (may have been the initial location reported being incorrect). You can also hear the dispatch tones at the end of the video (right after truck 1 leaves) finally say ‘engine 1, 201, truck 1’ so in reality these firefighters were responding before the tones ever came in.
I love the sound if the engines roaring when they pull out.
The old quantums made the best engine sound!
Ei0
WOW, from 2012 !!! Hope they get their response time better. I saw lots of comments about that. I was on for a while and even our volunteer Dept. got out in less then 30 seconds
Oh yess they do! I did a ride along last Friday in three different Pierce. One of them a brand new model. such a great truck! (Henderson city, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Clark County) has them. Not sure about Boulder City...I know Pahrump has different ones.
Love the engine sound on Engine 1.
So 2:07 wasted f-King around before one truck rolls while a structure burns. Time is everything.
Bet they were just headed to the local donut shop!
Responses this speed are why cops make fun of firemen. Not to mention screaming sirens from the moment they hit the door although it's the middle of the night and no traffic.....
Love those flags on the backs
that was a slow reposing time
2 minutes ? You stupid
@@be5575 2:07 are you stupid!! The bay doors closed faster than they opened.
Nop
Even the garage doors are slow! haha
In the beginning of incident, you see the BC pull out and wait. My opinion is he/she was reading the address and also wondered why Station 1 was not on tge original dispatch. In some departments Medic and BC tones are different, so that you don't awake the entire station if they are not responding.
At Las Vegas Fire and Rescue Station 1 there are 2 Engine Companies (Engine 1 and Engine 201, Truck 1, Battalion Chief, and Three Rescue Units (Rescue 1, Rescue 201, and Rescue 301) Station 1 covers the downtown and Freemont Street area of the city. Next to Station 10 they are the busiest and largest station in the City. This is as close as it gets to a full station response. Engine 1 is the Snozle.
+davebutcher2011 Also of recent I have heard and sceene Rescue 401 to the list of rigs that respond out of the downtown station.
o
What does snozle have to do with anything ?
You partly correct by writing full turn out. For this station this is a regular turn out for a fire call. The Rescue (Ambulances) do not always go on fire calls. especially since this station now has 3 Rescue Co.'s. I do not know how many and what types of apparatus respond to a first alarm fire call in the Las Vegas Valley. I live in Minnesota.
I believe it's 2 engines, a truck, a rescue, and a battalion chief per alarm
I love how they have the flag on the back of their trucks. Also the trucks are amazing.
I still think blue lights don't belong on a fire engine....
We'll get there when we get there...
They deserve alot of credit let's stop and honor and appreciate the paramedics and firemen and police who proudly serve us your service and time and efforts are deeply appreciated thanks don't work to hard appreciate you guys thanks you guys rock great job great team work and good catches as usual still going strong great looking tower very impressed stay safe and warm out there !! Joe ❤❤😂😅
Very nice rigs. Might want to think about some faster opening bay doors...
at my volunteer house we are out the door in less then 45 seconds for most ems calls and anything fire related (especially fires) we are gone less then 25 to 30, we all sprint to the truck when we got 3 we roll no waiting
Well, the clark county FD is huge from the main "Strip" las vegas area to the far side of the border with cali, and the Mountain at Mt Charleston. In Vegas area there are the CCFD, The Las vegas Fire D, The Henderson Fire D, The Boulder City fire, and the North Las Vegas Fire D. You should check their web they have all the stations and stats...:) thanks and questions are always welcome sorry for taking long just been hectic.
Agree with everyone on the slow response, however a couple of things to keep in mind. These are probably not the only or closest engines responding to this call and this is probably the 20th or 30th call this station has had for the shift. i have been to this station and it is sick how many calls they get. The fact this many apparatus were in the station at the same time is amazing. But I still agree... pretty slow time out.
No kidding! I'd be a helluva lot quicker if I knew a structure fire was waiting for me.
pretty much all las vegas fire and clark county fire, and henderson fire and maybe north las vegas fire have all Pierce quantum rigs. pretty cool i love them:)
They sound and look smooth.
On scene in three minutes? more like out of the station in three minutes! xD
Breh
Josh
Maybe the station was on fire
thanks and yes got to loveee those Pierce's Q
Do they know that a building is on fire? They're slow as...well, imagine!
Chicago fire department, 4 trucks and ambulance, chief ,out in 1:30
I've never seen such a slow response to an emergency b4... talk about laid back
Hmmm... Those Piece rigs look amazing. I live in the near by valley (Pahrump). I still love going to Vegas to see these rigs. However, we got some nice rigs out here in Pahrump. :)
That gap between the building and third door from the left bothers me. I dont know why... it just does
what the heck
bunny man you see that light shining through? The door is not sealing correctly and will cause an air leak for heating/cooling.
William Sparks Jr.
ok, I understand now....yeah, I could see how that could bother someone

When the lights go out on you from the time you were rung down, that means your way too slow.... Chute time not too good, especially for a reported fire.
+Joseph Durrenberger Was thinking the same thing. When the chief is the first one out the door and responding... your hall has problems.
+Joseph Durrenberger remember. callouts usually interrupt showers, bathroom breaks, and naps. it takes some time to get out of the shower and get your stuff on!!!
J Beaverhausen its often quite normal for the chief to leave the station first.
Joseph Durrenberger .
steve mclaughlin the response time was god awful... not sure what you're going off about..
We do the same thing (I don't, I go to the firehouse) and my previous statement stands...Think about it, you drive directly to the fire (assuming you guys know where to go) you still have to get into turnouts, go to the firetruck that you HOPE beat you to the fire...what if they didn't? You can only do a 360 and prepare a report for the IC, and wait for your SCBA and tools on the truck. So truck is there now you have to get into SCBA and mask, grab tools pull hose...You can't say that your
Those have got to be the slowest garage door opening I’ve ever seen. I did read the captions about not being dispatched at the first part of the picture but check the time between the battalion chief leaving and the first engine.
great catch, LVFR has got nice trucks!
That was just awesome
They have a really nice firehouse and good equipment. They do need faster garage door openers though....
Nice video ! 👍👍👍
Cool catch! :D
it was sheer luck really.
I could see a slower than usual response for an alarm activation, but 2 minutes to get out the door seems excessive for a house fire...
Brilliant video ;). Nice big turnout.
As an ex fire fighter, for all those who are complaining about the response time, let me just point out that its obviously a night shift, and id say late due to the lack of traffic on the road, and so these men were probably trying to catch up on some sleep at the time of the call!!!
But hey, you think you can do better? Do the training and sign up!! But its not a job for every one!!
I will update that this like the title says is a structure fire turnout. The only rigs that didn't respond we're 2 rescues one on the video side next to BC and the other one opposite the tower bay. The subsequent video shows 2 additional fire engines responding that we're out already. If you guys have detail true information share it and I'll post it.
Sounds like they are using Locution for computer aided dispatch. We have it here in my home town too. I like hearing the voice come in over the scanner.
Bit slow for a wholetime. My retained station at night can be paged, dressed and assembled and out the shed in around the same time.
My station as well, we have 7 minutes to get a truck on the road as we get paged aswell yet we are generally out with in 3 minutes as we live close to the station,
we in austria have to arrive on the szene and put first measures in less than 10 minutes after the call. Normally it takes 3 minutes after the call and our first truck is on the way to the szene. how long it takes us between response and arrival at the szene depends on where the szene is located.
sorry for my bad english i´m austrian
okay?
***** yeah me too because I'm in a vounteer fd.
Mrx122ful my city is out the door in less than 90 seconds from the time of dispatch to the time they’re out the door. Very aggressive fire attack and quick response time to scenes.
Great vid! Please show more!!
The call was a building fire with BC3 BC4 BC1 E1 T1 E201 And the lighting shut off was part of their Alerting system.. if yall heard the tones drop again the lights came on for another call
lol I can see that happening! well the Bc was there too, he was the first to leave. Then he waited for the engines and tower on the side.
Those American flags!!!!!! Just beautiful
It is with a heavy heart that I watch how slow this turn out was !!!!! BUT lots of things to look at
I am a ex UK firefighter but I had the great pleasure with riding at this house in Las Vegas in 1998 and they were outstanding firefighters and paramedics
So that is way I say you need to know the FACTS
As firefighters we ALL think was must save life and be as FAST as we can and that has always been the way and I hope it still is .
Now I can bang on about in my day 90s uk fire engine would be out the doors in under a min and the were FACT !!!!!
But things have changed for the worse let me explain
This this turn out yes it was a house fire BUT was it persons reported?????
If yes then that turn out was NOT fast enough and question s need to be asked
If NO then it’s a house putting yourself at risk by running down stairs driving made putting your life and members of the public life’s at risk NO
Do it in a safe manner
Now I know things have changed Heath and safety and all that I know
But in my opinion and it is only mine
Health and safety has its place but when it comes to saving life do what you siigned up to do
Any firefighter that say “ a firefighters life becomes before a member of the public “ you need to get another job
Opening line of a firefighters role “TO SAVE LIFE “
So the point I am making
Yes the Roles say you can NOT run to the truck
You must have in ALL your fire kit before you get on a truck
You must have your seat beaky on before the truck moves and I get that real I do
But there is not ONE firefighter out there that would not run into a dangerous fire to save
A child
A woman
A man
It’s what we do
So when the call is person reported
All the roles go out the window
You Do run to that truck get in get the truck out the doors in under a min get dressed on route and save a life
Coz again everyone of us know that even 2 min s in a fire makes all the difference.
So don’t run our brothers down till you know if this was persons reported
If it was just a building fire then fine
If it was persons reported then breaks my heart as a ex firefighter
Be safe everyone of you and may god watch over you
thanks for the comment. and yes we dont know all the circumstances anyways. maybe they had a follow up radio call from dispatch saying a different story? so yeah. There are other videos i have from this particular station and they respond asap.
Those engines sound badass
+Brent Vilchez I am so confused by your comment...
have to admit though the automatic steps are pretty badass
Damn, they sure do like the Pierce Quantum chassis
those doors irritated me more than anything! god i think my house garage door moves faster than that xD XD
after they left there were 2 rescues. One on the same side of the video, and the other one opposite from the tower ladder. They rescues had just arrived when they left.
Wow those doors are slow to open
Es extraordinaria la Vision que tienen las autoridades en USA de tener a sus Bomberos en estas condiciones optimas en instalaciones y camiones de Bomberos; Mi total Respeto y Admiracion.
yes I suppose haha it's quite a big house. One of the few that still has the fire poles.
Unless you work where i do. We have walk away SCBA's in out seats. Were usually out the station after initial dispatch in 50 seconds or less. Most of the time we usually save time by putting our jackets on while en-route.
Love that siren from engine 1
Awesome videos.Gorgeous rigs.I'm jealous of the rigs,lol
nice video, but i have to say, that was pretty slow... my department starts rolling faster than that and we are an all volunteer department...
They meet the requirements for ISO class 1. Besides, it’s done by average response times.
yeah i know,, i get a ton of comments about it...but in a not the video during the day u see that they don't take long at all and is another fire call. Yes all of the city of las vegas, north las vegas, henderson, and county use Pierce Q exclusively... The rescues are either international or frieghtliner chassis. I love it! thanks for watching!
will do, check out my other videos from the some of the other departments. thanks
Could those garage doors open any slower?
Thanks for the reply. I like the tower and the snorkel/snozzle. Interesting that the FD decided on a piece like that. You figure they'd just throw a regular ladder or another tower on it. I assume that apparatus is an Engine? Does it count as a "quint" if it has a snozzle instead of a stick? haha
A quint is a pumper with a ladder , a snozzle is a engine with a hose boom stick , a snorkel is a bucket truck with no ladder
2 minutes? SHIT, Volly's move faster than these guys!
they actually called an engine. It has that squirt extension. called "tele-squirt"
yeah..i know. you should! but not all the FD in vegas have them though...but some of the high officers are form the east coast in that dept. I'm sure that helped...
They're all in the Las Vegas AREA, though!
Henderson and North Las Vegas are their own cities, and Clark county covers Laughlin which also is its own town.
yes they do! thanks
Your right, so don't assume response procedures and time frames are universal.
I don't know... I been at that house a couple of times and the lights will stay on... maybe at certain time they go on a timer...? good question. But it made a good effect, Ill try to go back there at night again. thanks!
lol i know! check the other fire response video from inside the bay:) thanks
we send an engine, tower and heavy rescue to fires in our 1st due district, for a vol. company we have about a 2:30 turnout from when the 1st alert comes through to when the house siren winds down, at that time the frontline engine is already out the door and the tower following it
why so slow the fire department where I live has to be out of the door in one minute per their S.O.P.s or they get in trouble
You know after your message i saw Ladder 48 of LVFR has a tiller. I saw them last friday around their depo. But a BC told me that they will be gone soon. I like them better..
American flags on the back of the trucks........ nice touch, that sort of thing dont happen in England, shame really. Keep up the good work guys.
Just saying, Stations one through ten are city of Las Vegas, Stations eleven through thirty eight is Clark County Fire Department, Stations forty one through forty seven are also Las Vegas, stations fifty through fifty seven are North Las Vegas, Stations 60 through 89 is also Clark County, and stations 80 through 99 is Henderson.
Please try to get some more of this Station
Unless someone is trapped, they are only responding to contain the fire. A policy change that is several years old now, unless that has changed again. About 75% of their calls are for trapped cats and drunken tourists.
yeah tahts true aa lotttt of drunken tourists, we try having additional units for ems and recovery rooms inside the casinos, because they don't like it when you walk in the casino in gear.
thanks! which ones you guys have?
Sweet response, I love the Pierce Quantums'
YESSS!!!! Please do some more of lrvfd.
Wow the sound of then V8s . Do they send mass turn outs in the uk
How does this Fire Department differ from the Clark County Fire dept? Forgive my lack of knowledge, here in Hawaii, each island (almost), has a completely separate FD.
I'm sure they are state of the art but to a Dennis in the UK the look old Style all the chrome,I an not slating it at all the engine sounds fantastic!!
Hello las Vegas City fire dept pumper, ladder, engine and balliton chief and sirens loud fire in las Vegas ronny .
The sould be ready to drive when the door is open
Some time today!!!!!!
Very nice video I like it
thanks man
I mean what is that unit behind the 4th garage from where the camera is; if that unit didn't respond which it seems it didn't, then that means it's not a full turnout
Looks like a backup ambulance. Could be there just in case it's needed.
@RayRay2290TX actually they have many calls and they keep 3 rescue ambulances at that time. Keep in mind that is the central station for that department
there sure takin there jolly ole time
Thank god the last engine and the truck used their Q siren!
Slow doors, slow response
our station has there door electrical system shut of we just pull the door up by hand
much quicker
Yis
yeah there are a few st that have them. It is still an engine for them, i see your point of view but they don't count it as a tower and i believe i only saw the henderson FD with a quint at their station of lake las vegas.
Awesome video, can I use some of the audio for a stop motion video? I can credit your channel 👍
about 18 fire stations. of the city of las vegas fire and rescue, then county has way more and north las vegas and henderson, and boulder city...
VERY NICE
Your late, the building has already burned to the ground.
LOL
You don't know the difference between "your' and "you're", but you're going to talk shit about first responders..?? Pfft..
Joe Zimm you another armchair firefighter I take it? I would love for you to record a video of yourself getting up at night and responding, seems you know the facts too. Gotta love youtube's finest.
Mike Litoris Gotta love CZcams’s bad comments.
