RV Tour: family of 5 living in a 31-foot travel trailer

- This week's RV tour video introduces you to the Biondolillo family. They have been living in their 31-foot Keystone Hideout 31 RBDS for nearly two years already and have no plans to stop any time soon. While we were attending the Full-Time Families Rally in Madison in March of 2019, the Biondolillos allowed us to tour their RV and see all the customizations and renovation work they have done and get a feel for how they live inside their trailer.

Here are the portable generator safety rules: this safety information is only for anyone who use a portable gas generator and for those who are planning on getting a portable gas generator. This is just a reminder for everyone’s safety. All generator safety rules should be followed carefully. This advice is just to make sure that everyone is aware of all the warnings and it’s just to remind people to be careful using portable generators. Generators can be dangerous if not used carefully. Every year, hundreds of people die or get injured when using portable generators due to carbon monoxide poisoning and electrocution. Make sure you are using your generator carefully and keeping others safe as well. There is something very serious that everyone should always be aware of when using generators. Some people do run their generator indoors which is not safe and that increases the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning which can cause death of family and you. We need to keep an eye on our children making sure that they are not near the portable generator so they won’t get electrocuted or burned by the generator which is dangerous. A locking enclosure also keeps kids safe. A generator shed might look like a tempting place to explore, or take cover during a game of hide and seek, but a generator is a dangerous piece of equipment that can cause injury. It says on the manual that we should also keep children away at all times from the portable generator to avoid injuries. Please do not allow a child or unqualified people to operate the portable generator. It is important to keep your children safe especially little ones. The portable generator can be hot during an operation. Just because some manuals missed what should be listed doesn’t mean it’s safe to do. Always follow the generator safety rules when using portable generators. Generators pose electrical risks. If you need to use your generator during wet weather, you need a generator tent to protect your generator from getting wet. Don’t let your generator get wet. Keep your generator dry and before using your generator, please make sure your hands and your generator is dry. Do not wear loose clothing when operating the generator. Everything that is said on the generator’s operating manual should not be ignored. Never smoke cigarettes near the generator. Please keep flammable things away from the generator. Finally, a larger family RV'ing without a massive remodeled 5th wheel. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but how realistic is that for joe regular thinking about getting into an RV with their fam! Thanks for the vids and perspectives, good luck out there! I smiled a lot and teared up once or twice. Your family seems to have a lot of humor and love and life. My husband and I have four children and are thinking of launching (love that term). We had never been in an RV either...until we looked at one yesterday and sort of fell in love with the possibilities. Thank you so very much for opening up your home. What you have done with your RV home is something I didn’t have on my radar. Love the tip at the end about extending the life of the tires and the information on the vehicle. We are a family of 3 (4 on the way) we did full time rv for almost 2 years in San Diego. We loved it. It was amazing, it was great for our family and we were always outside. Can’t wait to do it again. It’s always nice to meet others families that do this too!

I love how this RV looks like a home that is lived in with not only Mom and Dad but also 3 kids and a dog. The whole home is amazing and the kids have so much. Some videos I’ve seen actually said that their kids got to keep anything they wanted, as long as it fit in a cubby or basket. I’m a retired teacher so I notice things like that, and I could see all around your home that a family lives there and the kids and parents seem so happy. Even Lucy was calm and comfortable. Awesome life lessons on so many levels are being taught in your home. I absolutely loved everything about this family, their home and their fun and adventurous lifestyle. Traveling in an RV for children is similar in some ways is like being a Military family. The children are usually better well adjusted, better educated and over all just happier kids.
I think it might be a tough life esp if there is rain or snow and the kids might be shut in for a short time, but that only lasts for short periods of time.
I think overall it is a Great life for kids!!!!

This is my first time commenting on any video. This was amazing! My wife and I are looking at getting an RV and this video inspired me to purchase an RV and let my wife do whatever to it lol
Your dog is so cute! I love your home and your sweet family. We are kinda homesteaders. We have a home in a country town that we love. We came from the suburbs in the city and what a huge difference. We bought a place to homestead up by the Tennessee river. Then when we left the suburbs the country town we a a better fit because my husband was still working in the city. He drove an hour into town for
2 1/2 years then retired in November to study for a new line of work he can do from home. He was an electrician for almost 30 yrs and now he will be a home inspector. I think a very good home inspector. So we can live in either our country town homestead or our homestead by the river. We have a shed cabin by the river. But this year my hope is to get an RV , a better RV on the property. We have a very very old RV that needs to be gutted. But I think it could be adorable. We are wanting to have a place for our kids to come and boat have bond fires. They are grown. At some point I might put a pool in. But it’s just like our own camp ground. We have an outdoor shower. Unfortunately it needs some love. My father lived with us the last year he was alive. He needed a lot of care. He passed in July last year. And we actually lost 5 family members this past year. So our river homestead suffered. We are feeling better about things now. Feeling like we can breathe again after so much going on in the world. We really love your RV. And your truck. It’s a lot like our truck. We think your RV is exactly what we need at the river. We don’t mind the shed cabin but we never got to wire it and do all the things we want to. If we had an Rv we could stay in it. Be in comfort while we fix up the shed cabin. Also allows us to have guest space. The place is so pretty and peaceful we really want a nice place for guest to stay. We want to share it with our family. Tennessee is really pretty if you haven’t visited I hope you get a chance to. I will look you up. Live with less! God bless your sweet family!

We are on our fourth camper (now have a 5er) and it's so dark; maybe one day the RV manufacturers will figure out we need light cabinets! We are not full time and my husband would never let me paint the cabinets! Happy travels!
We did it in ours as well. Feels so much bigger and brighter in the RV once you do.

Get a Gas over Electric water heater. You get more hot water and for longer. We have one in our JayCo and love it.
F Jones the water heater has both gas and electric option. I use electric because it uses shore power and I don’t have pay extra. Know what I mean?

What a brave family. I know it’s hard because my wife and I recently completed one year on the road in a class C.
It is hard, but the lifestyle that you gained from the sacrifices made are definitely worth it.
Thank you Lightning48. The experience is different for everyone, right? We have good and bad days. However, overall I'd say the experience has been amazingly positive. I could do this RV lifestyle forever..I'll speak for myself. :)
