Since Stellantis took over Ram and Dodge, they have been in a downward spiral in terms of listening to customers wants. These companies once had the most exciting lineup of offerings but are following in the footsteps of Nissan by not refreshing vehicles and killing off the more desirable options. They need to kick Peugeot executives the hell out of the American market!!!!!

  • @PortersGarage

People saying the mark ups killed the truck, no that isn’t it.

  • @Rommer2258

When it was still 70 grand, it was a great value. However now since it's 100 to 115 its not worth it anymore.

  • @bostondan77

I'll have to say, Ram TRX content on TFL was some of my favorite.

  • @justinevansgsm2swaw

So the Rex went extinct before the raptor did.

  • @joemattes8389

It's like Stellantis is trying to go out of business, they are discontinuing all the halo products, what are customers going to be excited about?

Both Ford and GM has been working on keeping their V8s for the next gen, investing in improvements to emissions to make them work for at least another decade or two. Stellantis however is dropping V8s, like the new owners don't realize how important the Hemi V8 has been to the current success of the company. What is Dodge or RAM without the Hemi?

Not a Ram fan, but this truck was great. Being new to tinkering and rebuilding suspensions, etc I can justify 100k in my mind anymore. So many great used trucks now that I can build up and make my own for 40-50k and have a greater pride of ownership.

Stealerships marked them up, out of existence

  • @jasonknight5863

The dealerships hillbilly mentality made it a pain to buy for anyone who wanted one. “ Ok I’ll sell it to you but give me 50 grand and I’ll sell it to you” and Dodge let them get away with it. The salesmen messed it up because they were greedy.

  • @tdgarage4012

Just tried buying one today. Dealer tried to sneak in a $15k markup into the financing without disclosing it. I hope Ram realizes what their dealers do.

  • @xxtwobitxx

I know they have all the bells and whistles , but they're all over well over 110k. I could only imagine now when sellers find out they're at the end of the line

    dealership mark-ups is murdering TRX.

  • @scottyellis3442

TFL is by far one of my favorite channels but i wish they would quit saying "1 year 20,000 miles" is long term.

  • @melikestuff8389

I am not surprised and was totally expecting them to discontinue the TRX. Just looking at the direction that the company was going.

  • @powersportsenthusiast1986

a lot of people saying markups had a lot to do with it. when they say they're going all electric, when it's said the "regular" rams wont have a v8 in 2025, when 2023 is the last of the v8 in the challenger and charger (who knows in the distant future) this should not be a surprise to anybody

  • @TheCapn23

Let's be honest, the TRX was a wealth flex

  • @bobdennis4801

Stellantis saw that Ford was selling Raptor Rs at that price so they decided to make a couple “special editions” and ask a crazy price for it.

  • @grimmjob8090

When the 2021s came out and it’s was like 75 for the base model, still expensive but fair enough, people can afford that. Now you can’t find one under 90k
