@blackdiamond92 Have you actually read Quran what it educates??? Even just before 200 years the western world thought the the earth was flat whilst in 1500 years ago in Quran mention the concept of universe and that the planets revolve in space. Now how would someone who never went to school 1 day would know this? Also the child when it is in the womb of mother for 9 months what it goes through? There are much more lessons. How can someone who never went to school can write a massive book with a lot of lessons about different aspects of life. When you say Islam is a confused religion why not try do something about it and actually clear your confusions by actually reading and investigating it like an intellectual person instead of behaving like a retard and using abusive language? Read about it if you have any confusions go and ask from scholars to clear your mind. This is how we deal with learning and who knows you might have some secret talent up your sleeve and become a scholar yourself about life.

I'd give in my suggestion and would really want you guys to react to SHAKAR WANDAN from movie Ho Mann Jahan (movie is available on youtube but the full song isn't so you'll be able to find it at the end of the movie itself) and KAIF O SUROOR song promo from movie Namaloom Afrad 2. Guys most of the music that comes out of Pakistan is Sufi music. Sufism is a branch of Islam that great saints like Rumi represented, they believe that LOVE is ALLAH (GOD) and Love at the end leads you to ultimate spirituality...to them a lover is a worshipper in his/her own right and that this discipline that they share with their lover, will lead him to God!
P.S. the pain your referring to is the concept that they believe their soul is constantly craving for the companionship of their lover.

This is my favorite performance of all time. I can't put it in words how much I love this song and how both the legends have performed it. I made one of my colleagues from Hungary listen to it to check if someone from western culture would also be able to appreciate this music and sadly he couldn't. He couldn't sit through the whole song itself. Apparently one needs to have been exposed to Indian/Pakistani classical music for some time to be able to appreciate the sheer magic of it.
Wonder if they at least realize how freaking difficult is this singing. That it take decades of rigorous practice to be able to even match a percentage of this.

Robin's interpretation of the song was exactly correct.. and since its a Qawali it is sung this way with high notes and repetition of lyrics which requires power and facial expressions and hand gestures.. it doesn't shows pain it shows deep emotions of selflessness and devotion to the Holy Prophet.. and i was glad to see that one of you was able to understand the gist of it :)
