it's an italian composer ;) But yes is marvellous and very "monarchiste francaise" i love it too
Masterpiece ❤
Amazing music! Love from poland
Dieu que c’est beau
Long Live The Monarchy of France.
A piece from the Turquerie era like Mozart's Rondo Alla Turca. During 17th century and early 18th century, some aspects of Ottoman art and culture were imitated in Western Europe. Music, painting, architecture and works were inspired by Ottoman styles and methods. This work too was heavily inspired by the Mehter, the classical age military band of the Ottoman Empire. In this Marche Pour la Cérémonie des Turcs, Lully influenced from a particular Ottoman war composition namely "Neva Ceng-i Harbi" especially in the second half. This phrase means pike or bayonet warfare. Ceng-i harbî is a "yürük" "usul"( rhythmic cycle) that is widely used in Mehter music and especially in the pieces played by Mehter during the assaults and attacks. "Yürük" itself also means nomad in Turkish and today used almost exclusively for last Turkic nomads in Turkey.

In this link at 2.05 you'll se an instrument, a crescent top on it, called as "çevgen". That instrument is one of the distinctive sounds of Mehter music. The cymbal sounds in Marche Pour la Cérémonie des Turcs came from this instrument.
Greetings, would you please give me info about how Western Europe adopted some aspects of the Ottoman culture?
@@bohemian_edelweiss The main cause behind the rise of Turquerie in Paris was the arrival of a certain Ambassador Mehmed Çelebi with his lavish entourage, known by the nickname "Yirmisekiz" ("Twenty-Eight" in Turkish, indicates that he was in his youth an infantry in the 28th battalion("orta" in Janissary terminology) of Janissary Corps). With his visit, Ottoman fashion made a splash in Paris. After this visit and dozens of ambassadors and consulates, traditional Ottoman cultural aspects began to enter literary works, paintings, ceramic figures, theatrical scenes and Parisian lifestyle. Special and glamorous “Turkish Rooms” were established, with “Turkish Gardens”. Moliere's five-act comedy-ballet, “The Bourgeois Gentleman,” saw actors wearing Ottoman-style clothes take the stage. Noble ladies had their paintings drawn in Ottoman-style clothes and displayed them in the most popular corners of their homes.Ottoman motifs such as crescents, palm trees and camels became the subject of wall panels, furniture, and architectural elements popular in the 1700s. Both the spoils from war and the items brought from Ottoman lands drew great attention. The French diplomat Harbette said, "Paris has almost become like one of Istanbul's neighborhoods" when describing this period in France.

The Bourbons were a mess as rulers so they needed to be evicted from power for good, hence the revolution. With their foolishness, they paved the way to their overthrowing.
not the best record.. nice image
Bouge toi !! On y va !! Allez !! One of the best performances of this that I've heard.
It is not a surprise, because they are using percussion instruments from an Ottoman army band.
Plus, Lully had a hard-on for strong rhythms reminscent of dance.
