Most good cameras are at least $600 ALONE. I’ve done the research and had no choice but to increase my budget because my only options were GoPros and decade-old 1080p cameras.

If you cant afford to put together 5-6 hundred dollars at LEAST then theres no shame, but tbh youd be better off using your phone camera instead of going with something cheaper because the quality just wont be worth it.
I just got my ZV-1 mark 2 right before this weekend. I was using it so much. My old ZV-1 is going to be my permanent webcam. I am loving the winder angle.
Great video. Love seeing life in Finland while learning about the camera. I did notice that while you were walking the video was pretty shaky. Wondering if you forgot to turn on the stabilizer or is the footage that way? Enjoyed the video overall. Cheers from Virginia.
If you have an extra minute, it woukd be cool to see the comparison to your regular cameras footage when speaking at your desk. Also, a lot of the walking was without the Stabilization on, right?

A few reasons... Flip out LCD screen helps you vlog and compose your shots. This will do better in low light, and as well it has practical features like product showcasing, tally lamp, auto defocus.
Also: using the phone, being constantly interupted by notifications, phone calls, email-dings, using it to look something up while filming … yes, notifications can be turned off and all that, but some of us need to be available on the phone, and when filming b-roll and waiting for timelapses and all that stuff
Not a good option when you need the phone to do other stuff while shooting timelapses, or having to be available on the phone/talking on the phone while doing b-roll shots - I’ve tried using the phone for product videos, and it’s a shitshow with notifications and calls coming in while filming. But for personal vacation videos sure, phone is good
