Sebs Duran Man please react to chester and Chris Cornell singing Crawling together live! It is really emotional when you know what happens to both of them
Bro Chester is one singer that can perform sing like Angel scream like a Devil Sadly none us fan catch him. Most of his song all about depression that he help the fans to pull through their difficult times. Chester miss you dearly
The song was actually written about a woman who worked at their label, who died from breast cancer. Mike and Brad wrote it with a guy named Eg White. It was sung in tribute to Chris here, then fans used it in tribute to Chester. Then the official video for it was a tribute to him. And then, the most heartbreaking part, the band played it without Chester at the Hollywood Bowl, with Mike singing it, sounding like he was barely holding it together.
Also at a festival in 2018 where Mike Shinoda send an emotional message to the crowd about awareness of depressions and then performed a bit of In The End with the crowd
My daughter went to middle school with Chester’s oldest son. That man was always at the school functions!! Super nice super giving. Cool as cool can get as well. He always had his shades on even in the auditorium.
That scream was absolutely heartbreaking. I can't hear it without losing it either. He was screaming for his lost friend and we scream inside when we hear it for losing Chester.
Depression blows beyond belief I have been dealing with it for YEARS and nothing helps, people also say "you aren't alone" and that doesnt help either and it just sucks...I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy.
I watched this live and it's soul crushing. Chris Cornell's death haunts me to this day😢. He and Chester were close. Chester's passing on Chris's birthday was /still is, a horrible tragedy
This scream wasn't scripted. It's not part of the normal song, and it shows his broken heart more than a thousand words could say. I have the studio version on my player and often can't sing it completely without starting to loose my voice and start crying. It has so much power and emotion😢😭😭😭
People threw alota shade because apparently his "vocals wernt on point" u can tell the man is litrally holding back tears... And his mate just passed. Alota performers would just cancel their gig. So fkn props to them. R.I.P Chester & Chris 🤘🏻🙏🏻
Mike is an amazing band leader. So in tune with everybody on stage. Chester was an amazing front man/lead vocalist but Mike was the driving force behind him.
I miss that dude so much. He started me on the rock path. It was seriously like one of my first moments I thought everything is fucked and I hate life at 27. But I realized the best can fall and we are all human. Find your light and live as best you can. Fight for the next generation. Fuck it. You matter.
Wow. I had chills. Ugly crying. Such a huge loss for the world. He was so talented. His voice so beautiful and pure. I’ve listened to him for years leading up to his death and still get emotional listening to them; then and now. Thanks for the soul-cleansing cry. ❤
I know you just listened to the live version, but take a moment of your free time and just sit back and watch the music video for this song. It really made me tear up.
For me, this song is about my and my brother. Reflect all my feelings few years ago, when he decided to take his own life. I think this is a healing song, if anyone lost someone.
I love your honest vulnerability listening to music and sharing how it affects you. If you haven't already heard the song "Crawling" and the official video it's pretty deep as well. Along with that there is an acoustical version live in concert where he shares a moment in the crowd singing this same song pretty fantastic. This dude was the real deal. He has helped so many who struggle with the same feelings through his music. I'm just so sad that he reached a point he just couldn't take it anymore and chose to end it. Such a talented tortured soul who leaves an unbelievable legacy to be shared and discovered for decades to come
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the video. I stumbled upon your channel and was moved by your reaction to the song. Your raw emotions and genuine connection with the heartache conveyed in the lyrics are truly commendable. We all experience moments of sadness and struggle to find our place in life. The way you described Chesters' primal scream as a release of emotions is truly remarkable. The best comment I heard regarding this performance and his scream is " that scream was probably the easiest part of the song for him to sing." It's amazing how such a powerful expression of pain can liberate someone and allow them to connect with their feelings. I can understand why you find this song so emotional, as it truly touches the heart.
@sebsdurant that scream your correct said so much and had so much anger and sadness and all different types of emotions behind it. You can't help but tear up. Especially knowing the ultimate outcome of chester and his battle
I love how you respect Chester's memory, he went to Greenway High School, right down the street from where I live, this song will always be instilled in mind
Okay so yesterday was the 6th year anniversary of his passing and I couldn’t keep it together. Hopefully I am capable of listening to this and not completely break down. God I miss this precious beautiful man. Who cares if one more light goes out? Well, I do. I really do Chester. An amazing person with a beautiful soul gone way too soon. He saved me from my light going out. Forever 41.
The night before they were on Jimmy Kimmel, is when Chris took his life...if my research was correct. There is an interview where Mike said they found out on this day so they changed the song choice to honor Chris. Check out that interview. Mike explains that this was extremely difficult for Chester. As we all know, 2 months later Chester gained his wings on what was Chris's birthday. Chester had originally written this song for a woman he knew that died from cancer, but obviously it resonates here as well. I've never seen a more still crowd at a LP performance/ concert. RIP Chester & Chris #TheirLegacy #MakeChesterProud #LoudLoveChris #NoOneSingsLikeYouAnymore
The scream broo… the scream just sounds so different… its, idk you can clearly hear that he was broken. Not the broken he used to be, not the pain he felt all the time… the scream feels like, like a man knowing, there is nothing left.
Linkin Park performed "Crawling" with Chris Cornell. Highly recommend you check it out. He doesn't come in until about half way through but it's still great
Yes there are 2 but the one that is powerful I think is the one you are talking about! I was sexually abused and you can see it in both of them, they are singing about that pain. Mine was from 3-12 and I’ve attempted when I was 12 but struggle still. Gonna get the link.
The day I saw all the news posts of his death was so surreal. I was in complete shock and denial after the 1st or 2nd post but then I see a dozen posts reporting his death and I was just shattered. I remember being so lost in grief that day over someone I never even met in person. It was like I lost a family member or close friend. I am so glad I saw them live in 2014 when I had the chance. I wish I had gone to more of their concerts.
That scream in the original song is really low in the background, you miss it if you're not paying attention. The fact that he brought it up to the forefront of the song makes it even more heartbreaking when you've heard the original. You should check it out on your own sometime. It was one of my favorite songs before this performance and before Chester died. I almost can't listen to it now, it hurts so much. *Side note-you should also react to C Mike Shinoda, One More Light (live at London Roundhouse) Its the first time Linkin Park played it live after Chester's passing. I love how real you are in your reactions, and how you're not afraid to show emotion! Your channel is quickly becoming one of my favorites! I love to watch your wife too, she's so beautiful!!
Wow I've never heard of any flack about this song. IMO it is so beautiful and haunting at the same time. Also this song has helped me with my mental health issues. Again IMO this and The Messenger are the best songs I listen to them everyday!!!!!! RIP Chester the legend I totally agree with you thank God for the internet that introduced me to Chester's voice & I can hear it daily.
They were told about the passing/suicide of Chris Cornell who was a great friend of Chester's before this event, and switched to sing this song instead of the one they had planned. Heavy.
You should look up the live performance of this song and Crawling from ID Days 2017. It was one of his last (if not last) concerts. He was so into it, he was in the crowd, you can feel his sadness.
This song hits home I love Chester’s voice this song gives me chills i lost a 2 friends one was a girl so sweet and the other one a boy being a crush to suicide all because I chose to be in a abusive relationship and forgot about them because my HS ex was lethal and scary I was the only real friend both had and I blamed myself for so long because of there deaths 1 month apart one killed themselves by taking a bunch of pills and then drowning in a tub and the other hung himself well shooting himself in the head my last conversations with them each haunts me still 8yrs later yes I’m in a way better headspace then back then but there’s moments I have when I catch myself just super sad crying out of nowhere missing everyone who left me to go to heaven so this song is something ❤
To even just say "they were friends" is - from what I've heard - underselling it. I've heard a number of people thst were close to Chester say that Chris was one of his closest friends and confidants, and that Chester never seemed the same again after he died, like it was a trauma he never fully recovered from. Also, one small correction: this song wasn't WRITTEN FOR Chris - it was already recorded before he passed. It was written for a friend of the band who had recently died from cancer, but they did dedicate performances of it, like this one, to him for a while after his passing. If you haven't yet, you should also check out the other single from that album, "Heavy" (which is very much about his mental health state at the time.) Knowing those were the last two singles he ever put out before... what happened... it makes them hit so much harder.
I was one of thode LP fans that dropped off after Meteora because i thought they were going too poppy. Having only been in Jr High my understanding of growth in music wasnt there yet. After seeing the emotion this song brought (i cried myself) I had to go back and listen to everything over again and boy was I an ignorant child. Chester got me through so many ROUGH times in that oart of my life and then I abondoned them when they had everything i was feeling from album to album.
2023 has been a very rough year so far, my boss and dear friend who is like a brother to me had a brain aneurysm resulting in two strokes (he is working his way back to health), my dad has on set of dementia and has been in and out of hospital, currently he is in a rehab facility to help get his strength back, my mom fell a little over a month ago breaking both of her arms.... my brother and oldest sister thought because I don't have " a proper job" ( I work at a haunted house attraction) I could take care of them... this past week they finally understood what I was going through. I've been so close to break down. It is getting better with the added support. 5:50 is ridiculous... people can say it's staged or w/e but you can just hear the raw emotion pouring out of Chester, the heart of an angel and the scream of a demon... Chester was very unique
Please react to the studio version of One More Light. You'll hear that Chester sounds almost better than studio. He had sheer, pure talent. We Miss You, We Love You, Chester. Always in our hearts.
They didn't really get a lot of flack for this song, it's generally agreed to be a gem on an album of overproduced top 40 pop, it was the album they got flack for, for those mentioned reasons.
The song was NOT written specifically for Chris since Chris passed on may 18th 2017 and the album was released 1 day later on the 19th, so the was written and recorded before that, however it was DEDICATED to him once he passed.
After Chris died, Chester could not get through this song without breaking down. Losing Chris destroyed him. The I DO scream was improvised and soul crushing. Mike felt it. He passed away shortly after this.
And I didn’t know today was Chester’s birthday. 🥺🥺🥺

I saw that stuff even the people who appeared to support chester and the band were visibly shaken and upset about losing chester
Chester took his own life on Chris Cornell’s birthday. July 20 of 2017. 😢 RIP to two amazing men.
Just more tragic... I didn't know...
I remember the day and the moment I found out he passed first thinking it was a hoax, then finding out it wasn't
He also ended his life the exact same way Chris did...
Damn he was killed 🤦🤦🤦
@linamorganangel It was depressing what killed them both 😢
My daughter went to middle school with Chester’s oldest son. That man was always at the school functions!! Super nice super giving. Cool as cool can get as well. He always had his shades on even in the auditorium.
Awesome! Seen Grey Daze's (Chester's first band) music video for "Soul Song"? It's directed by Jaime and he's in it, to honor his father!
Here is the music video with Jaime Bennington and Chester on vocals czcams.com/video/VcpAEVWT1-Q/video.html
"Treat yourself like someone you're responsible for". That's actually pretty deep, bro.
RIP Chester.
Appreciated bro
That scream was absolutely heartbreaking. I can't hear it without losing it either. He was screaming for his lost friend and we scream inside when we hear it for losing Chester.
Depression/Anxiety can affect everyone, it doesn't matter your statis or income. RIP Chester & Chris
Depression blows beyond belief I have been dealing with it for YEARS and nothing helps, people also say "you aren't alone" and that doesnt help either and it just sucks...I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy.
chester missing that line killed me. he never does that so you know he was hurting bad.

The scream is in the studio version, its just very far back in the mix and not as loud.
Chester is already broken here.
All his pain in those 2 words, “I DO”… RIP Chester and Chris🥺❤️🩹😔
People threw alota shade because apparently his "vocals wernt on point" u can tell the man is litrally holding back tears... And his mate just passed. Alota performers would just cancel their gig. So fkn props to them. R.I.P Chester & Chris 🤘🏻🙏🏻
This song makes me cry every time 😢
It still breaks my heart into pieces to listen to this song. I miss Linkin Park & the amazing music they made. RIP Chester.
Mike is an amazing band leader. So in tune with everybody on stage. Chester was an amazing front man/lead vocalist but Mike was the driving force behind him.
I miss Chester. He had such an amazing voice
Everytime I listen to LP my heart breaks. A huge fan of Chester so talented gone too soon😢
No matter how many times I watch this I always tear up at the scream and when he cracks 😢 so sad
😢😢This song gets me everytime. The official video is just emotional
That scream was him doing Chris' scream. Listen closely, that was him channeling Chris, you can hear it..... :(
And yes, it brings tears to my eyes every time.
I miss that dude so much. He started me on the rock path. It was seriously like one of my first moments I thought everything is fucked and I hate life at 27. But I realized the best can fall and we are all human. Find your light and live as best you can. Fight for the next generation. Fuck it. You matter.
This is always a hard watch... love him so much... rip Chris and Chester

Great tribute and knowing what's still to come its just heartbreaking to see this. Rest In Power to Chester and Chris!

For me, this song is about my and my brother.
Reflect all my feelings few years ago, when he decided to take his own life.
I think this is a healing song, if anyone lost someone.
It's okay to show emotion dude. Don't try to hide it. That's what a reaction is.
I usually struggle a bit while listening to this performance
Every normal human being will cry seeing&listening this
Man...this performance gets me everytime i see it
You add great music and pure emotion and you get this amazing song
Thats probably one of the if not most heartbreaking and emotional scream ever in music
I love your honest vulnerability listening to music and sharing how it affects you. If you haven't already heard the song "Crawling" and the official video it's pretty deep as well. Also, Chester singing Hallelujah at Chris's funeral!!😢😢
that scream just hits you so hard😭♥️

You nailed it on the head. And thank you for the help, spartan.
MUSIC aside.. struggles are real and @ that point nothing else maters!
peace
So heartbreaking.😢....we love you're music...glad we still have it❤
That scream was as raw as it gets. 💔
RIP to them both. Loved them.
I love how you respect Chester's memory, he went to Greenway High School, right down the street from where I live, this song will always be instilled in mind
That song will forever go down on him
That scream is amazing - so different from the studio version, other live versions.
Losing Chester was hard for all of us. Things will never be the same
Two of the greatest voices of rock were silenced and might not be ever be heard again. Rest in peace Bennington and Cornell.
What a voice! Thank God for that because that not being able to see the video is annoying. The full screen is perfect!
Thank you! Yes indeed no words. I get it. Luv from Australia ❤️🎼❤️🎼❤️
RIP Chester and Chris 😭😭😭
I can’t hear this song without thinking of my fiancé that took his life in Dec ‘17. It rips my heart out.

That scream was a release! That was as close to pure emotion as we will probably ever hear!
The scream is beautiful and haunting at the same time, so so good
Absolutely great song. One of my favorites.

This songs helps me get thru the day. I lost my son to suicide in March 2023. Thank you Chester.
Great reaction. Pease do a Grey Daze reaction.
They were told about the passing/suicide of Chris Cornell who was a great friend of Chester's before this event, and switched to sing this song instead of the one they had planned. Heavy.
Its ok to cry big man .
I dont normally follow/like/whatever whenver people say it but you seem like a good dude so I'm gonna sub. Thank you.
Your emotional intelligence is on another level. Great reaction
You should look up the live performance of this song and Crawling from ID Days 2017. It was one of his last (if not last) concerts. He was so into it, he was in the crowd, you can feel his sadness.
No one can understand how many times ive screamed this song out in my life
I have always told people to give themselves the grace that they give others.
Them you for this.

They were more than friends... Chester is/was Godfather too Chris's son....
This was the first time seeing this video 😢😢😢😢😢
When his voice cracks on the last Moment is all we are my fucking soul shatters
beautiful reaction man...enjoyed it but heart broken at the same time..
Hey brotha. Gr8 content!👍🏼 i had no idea you been doing YT videos. Thats amazing! Will give me great ideas for songs to cover, like this one. 🤘🏼🤠
To even just say "they were friends" is - from what I've heard - underselling it. I play this every year on the anniversary of my brothers suicide and whenever I need a really good cry.Such a beautiful song
Sorry for your lost, i hope everything turns out fine.
I was one of thode LP fans that dropped off after Meteora because i thought they were going too poppy. Having only been in Jr High my understanding of growth in music wasnt there yet. Chester got me through so many ROUGH times in that oart of my life and then I abondoned them when they had everything i was feeling from album to album.
Love your reaction. RIP CHESTER and CHRIS. Please react to his duet with Chris Cornell of his song Hunger Strike live.
😢❤️❤️ Just love Chester.
Just knowing that this person is dead and their voice will never ring in our ears again makes this video even sadder
Happy birthday Chester.
I miss you brother…..
HARDY- a rock! One of the best written songs
But when that overwhelming stress and depression hits and everyone just thinks it's your medx or you are over reacting remember it only takes a split second to really screw up.... I ended up cutting my arm pretty bad.. remember to talk to your loved ones and not keep everything inside. There is support out there and the world is afar better place with you I. It.
I can’t .. uggh 🥺
Its all good bro ❤❤❤
Yea man, thats a tough one to get through.
5:50 is ridiculous... people can say it's staged or w/e but you can just hear the raw emotion pouring out of Chester, the heart of an angel and the scream of a demon... Chester was very unique
RIP beautiful souls! 💔🙏🏻
this is almost like laney singing nutshell in mtv unplugged, a man singing in his own funeral
Please react to the studio version of One More Light. You'll hear that Chester sounds almost better than studio. He had sheer, pure talent. We Miss You, We Love You, Chester. Always in our hearts.
Fuck, why am I crying
Meu Deus 😢 emocionado aqui com essa bela e triste canção do Linkin Park 😢💙
EU TE AMO ETERNAMENTE, ÍDOLO MEU ÍDOLO, CHESTER BENNINGTON 🤍
They didn't really get a lot of flack for this song, it's generally agreed to be a gem on an album of overproduced top 40 pop, it was the album they got flack for, for those mentioned reasons.
This album was a masterpiece
