Very clear and informative, thank you so much! I've been dragging my feet on getting the photo my number card so I suppose I can't submit my tax return online with just the paper card. 😅 I'll be looking forward to your next video about submitting it manually!

Hi! Just followed this for this year's kakutei shinkoku, but it seems there are many changes with the filing using my number card. Can you make an updated video of this? thank you!

Thank you so much for the informative video. Though 2022, there were some changes in online steps and interface but I could do it following your video. I have a question: after doing online submission, is there any other step that we need to do. 1. do we have to send print out to tax office ? 2. How we can check the refund status ? 3. How much time it takes to have the refund credited in bank account ?

Hi Quick question. I just finished filing online. Do I need to do anything else? or just wait for the notification letter from the city hall?

Hello, question! If you've already declared your non resident relatives before, is it still a must to send their birth certificates again? I went to the tax office years ago to do some tax returns and submitted my relatives' docs.
Now,I' doing the etax system and it doesnt indicate if I need to submit the birth certs and remittance certs

Thank you for all of your useful videos.
Do you need to have an electronic my number card? I am afraid I have the old version, it's a simple piece of paper so maybe it cannot be scanned?

    • @HOWTOLIVEINJAPAN
      @HOWTOLIVEINJAPAN  Před 3 lety

There are two types of cards with My Number.
Notification card and My Number card.
The notification card is a card made of paper.
Once you have decided on your address in Japan, it will be mailed to you in a couple of weeks.
This card does not have a photo of your face, you can only know your My Number.
My number card is a card made of plastic.
It cannot be obtained without applying for issuance.
The card has a photo of your face and an IC card, so you can prove your identity and make various applications.
Perhaps your card is a notification card and you will not be able to scan it.
Please watch this video for instructions on how to apply for the My Number Card.

Thank you for the video is very informative! However, in my case I’m in the first year of a house loan. It started 2020/02
I’m a kaishain the company have been doing the neimatsu chosei, but They told me that I will have to do the kakutei shinkoku by my self this year, then from next year the company will do for me.
Do you have a vídeo, or have a contact of any agent or office who would do the kakutei shinkoku in my case?
    Thank you!

I personally don't know any tax agent. I think you can ask a tax accountant to do it for you.
We don`t have any kakutei shinkoku videos featuring a house loan.
      I have made a little research and it says... you bring the following documents to the tax office;
      ① Tax withholding slip (gensenchoshuhyo)
      ② My number card
③Certificate of land and building (土地・家屋の登記事項証明書), you can get this paper from houmukyoku or legal affairs bureau.
④ Certificate with the loan balance remaining at the end of 2020
but I recommend you go to your city tax office and inquire the necessary documents for house loan kakutei shinkoku.
Click here for a video about tax returns at the tax office. Https://czcams.com/video/GwnOtE-iHeM/video.html
The house loan deduction refund is large, so please do your best.
Please let us know if you were able to do it.

To be honest, it's difficult to understand what the situation is.
Is your phone at this link?
      faq.myna.go.jp/faq/show/2587?site_domain=default
Have you updated your mobile OS?
If neither condition is met, I don't know why.
If your phone doesn't support the app, you may try one of these things...
      1. Apply with a different mobile phone
      2. Enter information on your computer, print and send by mail.
      3. go to the tax office
If you still have questions, please comment again.
